The tvOS version is available to download on Apple TV 3rd generation devices or later. (If don’t see it, try searching for “Amazon Prime Video” on your Apple TV).

It's okay. I will go to the grave defending the Greinke/Segura trade.

I think that's the danger of Dipoto. He didn't have any really terrible trades, like the Vernon Wells trade, but plenty weren't good trades. Ultimately I think that was the problem. There was no real coherent long term plan that he stuck to. It was always scrambling to make a move to fix one problem by opening up another hole.

I always gave him a pass because he was hamstrung by an owner who wanted to win always and possibly forced him into signings that blew his budget for his whole tenure. But Eppler had shown me it can be done and Dipoto seems to be creating more problems in Seattle than what he inherited.

In hindsight, he made his intentions clear with several comments about how the function of the farm system is to serve the big league club. On its face, that sounds logical, but his definition of "serve" was clearly as currency in trades.

And while Eppler represents a different philosophy, and we may feel good about what he's done, and mock what Jerry's done in Seattle, neither of these teams have been very good in their tenures.

Ill check that out, thanks for the tip. Aside from the apple tv, i also bought myself a firestick or whatever about two years ago that i never opened. Is one better than the other?

Apple TV is going to be a smoother experience, and if you're into iTunes shit, it's the only way. Fire TV Stick presents Amazon video real nice and runs all the major apps (except they are fighting with Google at the moment so no YouTube).

Big advantage of the Fire Stick is that you can load Kodi on to it, and that's the gateway to all the "free cable" grey market stuff. Others here are more knowledgeable on that.

Dirtbags. I like to doenload movies for when I fly.

Off topic, anyone know of a good program to transfer old dvds on to a computer in a small enough file to fit on a tablet? I have all these old movies that i dont really watch anyway. But id like to have them available if i ever travel. Only thing i can think of is to biy them off of amazon prime, but i dont really want to re buy them all over again.

Handbrake. It's a bit technical but can do everything, and it's free.

  5. So what about his assertion that he's made the roster younger around Cano, Feliz, and Cruz? Younger roster sounds like a euphemism for cheaper roster, but maybe there's some stats showing correlation with youth and success? Seems unlikely... Probably the opposite even.

No honorary vote for the man, the legend, the Jeets? I thought MLB was going to change the rules so that Jeter could get in after one year.

They need to wait a few years, because next year, El Jeets is going to fire the Marlins manager and take over. Then he'll do a year in the booth, and a year behind the plate calling balls and strikes.

This way he can go in as a player, executive, manager, broadcaster, and umpire.

Isn't that because two 9 of our top pitchers didn't pitch at all.thus not counted in the 11.

The 11 includes: Nolasco, Ramirez, Chavez, Bridwell, Skaggs, Shoemaker, Meyer, Richards, Scribner, Heaney, and Wright.

  8. He alludes to pitching injuries and resulting instability being the root of their issues last year. They certainly used more starters (17 vs 11) and more pitchers overall (40 vs 31) than the Angels, who we generally agree had some awful pitching luck. Is there anything to this?

    doesn't matter, really

the team needs a complete rebuild, and i don't think the new ownership group understands that, so changing gm's won't make much of a difference. i just despise anybody this organization puts in charge of anything now.

The same guys who hired Tony Reagins and Dipoto also hired Eppler. Maybe they'll learn?
