    I wanted Beltre, I thought at worst he'd at least be somewhere in between Seattle Beltre and Boston Beltre here. The key was he was a 3B, a gaping hole we've had since Glaus left after 2004. Instead we overpaid for Pujols and Hamilton when we had an abundance of depth at 1B and in the outfield.

    Also the ridiculous notion of being worried that the Dodgers will hire Scioscia immediately (I wouldn't care if they did) won't happen since the Dogs have turned it around and are doing relatively well.

    Seeing these guys like Calhoun and Shuck play is a lot more fun than the overpaid weenies. Shuck may not be the most talented player but he plays hard every day.

    Man that catch by Mother Shucker was awesome. Watching that doofus play is pretty entertaining (sometimes for the wrong reasons, lol).

    Don't know, but I get a vibe that because the station is team owned and because of Scioscia's stronghold on the organization nobody will say anything about the coaching staff. These guys defended Hatcher until the bitter end too.

    Jason seems like a nice guy, I have nothing personal against any of these guys. Terry Smith is a good radio announcer. But there's got to be pressure to not say anything negative about Scioscia. When he's fired the general attitude on AM830 will become "It was a long time coming." Scioscia's way of managing and motivating his team has not worked in 4 years.
