Hamels' stare on the bench probably boring holes in the back of Bannister's head. on the other hand, it's late August, Texas sort of out of it --playing out the string...........Hamels pitching well and isn't he a F/A at the end of the year -- so he's fine.

what was that? Maybin kind of walked to third base........? throw kind of lazily tossed in........looked sloppy to me. Maybin on third pretty good for us --this Texas pen guy's slider is one catcher's block not made from a run,

yeah - we had a chance to sign Beltre but I think he wanted a fourth year or something and Halos would only go three. I think Texas signed him to six or something -- may have been an extension in there somewhere with Texas. so four years too much for us with Beltre -- so we signed Pujols for TEN years.........(although -- full disclosure -- I liked the Pujols signing when it happened -- and knew the back side of the deal could go south).

Beltre can still run -- even has some stolen bases -- and he's not a pretty much an automatic GIDP with a runner on first with one out or less.
