things have been so topsy-turvy game to game - not sure how the playoff matchups stack up at this point. Seems like the Kings lose a game and fall to the second W/C spot -- they win a game and then lose an OT game and suddenly they're third in the Pacific. but a second round match up would be perfect.........and like before -- am sure a 7 game series for these two teams. Carter back for the Kings have meant a whole different team on offense.

if the Ducks lost this game --it would have been a stolen win by the Kings. Ducks out-played the Kings - certainly the last two periods starting about the mid-point way of the second. ends up being sort of a good result for S. Cal hockey. I want both teams in the playoffs (Kings in the third spot from the Pacific, of course) and would like to see another Kings-Ducks Stanley Cup Playoff series.

LOU -- seriously? you have to take the pitcher out??? that's the penalty??? Really? ok - let's think this through - more than a few trips to the mound are solely intended to give the guy in the pen more time to get warmed up. so , now, you make that trip to the mound -- and WHOOPS!! too many (who's counting? both sides !!) So you have to take your pitcher out -- as if the manager hadn't thought of that before stepping onto the field.. Now's it's almost like an injured pitcher situation (can't short the warm up time -- MLBPA wouldn't allow that !!) So change of pitchers (the number one reason they need to create a Pace of the Game committee in the first place) more warm up time........Yeah, the trip to mound limitation rule appears well thought out. I like the free throw idea instead. two free throws and you get a run for each one made.

Kings defend the power play. watching game where I am on Prime Ticket. not in high definition here. geez. Very spoiled. used to watch this quality of tv all the time -- now it's akin to watching something on a black and white tv set (I actually owned one of those until about ten years ago !!!!).

well, UndertheHalo had it right -- Kings couldn't get off the ice fast enough at the end of the second. sort of like a fighter saved by the bell. now they re-group and defend against the 1:30 or so left on the power play to start the third period. and, yep, it's second of back to back games.........and Kings will have to dig deep and find it within themselves. Being out played so far.

who gets fined? the team? the manager? $100 fine to a MLB team - OK - all teams don't care -- that means the only MLB team limited with mound trips would be the Oakland A's.

Quick/ Gibson earning their keep tonight. dumb mistake now by Kings Ducks have played most of the second half like they're on a power play and now they are. good thing it's split between second and third -- fresh legs to defend.

I'd love to see these guys have another playoff series. Ducks seem to out play the Kings. But Kings seem to win.
