Victor Rojas is very good -- I like Terry Smith on the radio side. these guys -- after a few years now -- have become OUR guys. I like them both. Gubi's OK on TV as color commentator........ I mean, do you want Phyz and Rex back? If so, tune into some of the KC broadcasts......

I can see why the Cards traded Freese - now I am not complaining about the deal because Bourjos wasn't going to play here in Anaheim anyway, and we got Salas who has given us some much needed pen depth. But Freese is really more of a one dimensional player than I think many of us realized........he is really slow -- almost deceptively so -- by looking at him there's no reason to believe he's that slow (almost like another slow mo guy we used to have Juan Rivera who like Freese seems to stuck in molasses while 'running') but Freese is a constant GIDP rally killer threat, can't field --in fact shouldn't be on the field past the sixth or seventh inning of any game (particularly when you have a John McDonald on your bench) and now his power - which was never great but decent -- seems to be gone -- Freese has had a decent career, has been a hometown hero for St. Louis with a very timely, clutch World Series HR -- but the Cards, a smart organization, knew when to part with him...... We were weak at 3B much of last year, we're not any better this season -- I don't see Freese holding down the job to season's end. Meanwhile, Grant Green is at SLC.

well,I would have signed up early for either a suite or the Section 400 seats but wasn't sure if there was going to be a group plan deal or not -- so I went ahead and got two tickets for Section 213 (Terrace Level) behind the plate to the third base side...... pretty good seats.......if someone needs only one and can stand to listen to my ramblings all game, I'll have an extra ticket on me at Saturday's Fanfest.......

what's the deal with Billy Mac -- I guess he's no longer on the Halos pre and post game stuff and I guess with the Lakers lousy team and no over the air TV, he's not been doing that either?? I mean, the guy after being everywhere (Angels, Lakers etc.) just sort of disappeared from view on TV (not that that's a bad thing). but I must have missed the story on whatever happened with him and the Angels pre and post game stuff (he even did some announcing during games once in a while when someone was gone or something)........

gotta had it to Lundqvist and the Rangers defense tonight -- how they kept the puck out of the net during that wild third period is amazing. Kings were in the attacking zone and driving the net almost the entire period.........Kudos to the Rangers defense and to Lundqvist who made some great stops. Kudos to the Kings for putting the puck on net..........I think the Rangers may have had one or two shots the entire third period.

thought the Kings out played the Rangers for at least two periods tonight - maybe even three -- but the score didn't reflect that --- that's the way the game goes -- oh well, the Kings probably shouldn't have won game Three because of the goaltender interference call that wasn't made. it will be nice for the LA fans to see the Cup hoisted at Staples. running through DiSar's stop sign the other night could have cost us a win...... although, Pujols has also run the bases well -- there was a game recently where he made a nice advance from 2nd to 3rd -- something at least two of our other players (one being Freese, who was the guy the other night that did the same thing?) who turned runner at second with none outs to runner at first with one out by getting tossed out a third running on a ball hit to SS......dumb.

geez -- he has something like 14 HRs this year........ I think he should DH and play some first.......who else is better than him at 1B on the club? Cron is acceptable there but not better, Hamilton hardly plays 1B, Ibanez is clearly a DH playing anywhere in the field although LF is his best position but that's not saying much. Our best 1B defensively may be McDonald or Kendrick.

Question's gotta be asked here (and noting the post above)..... Would the Eastern Conference Champ even earn a playoff spot in the Western Conference?

If KC are sellers -- they'll deal Shields and someone will over pay for him as a rental. Hopefully its not us -- been there, done that. Duffy a S. Cal kid -- he's not going anywhere -- KC will extend him (as a starter, not a pen guy). Holland -- not sure what his contract status is, but I assume he's still has time on his KC contract and too valuable to them to deal away. Moustakis -- 3B -- another S. Cal product (Camarillo, I believe) has had a rough year --batting about .174 -- got sent out to Omaha but back up when other guy's got hurt -- decent glove but his bat his missing so far this year --- has shown some life lately.........wish we could send Freese back to Missouri for Moustakis......who I feel will come around at some point.......right, Dallas McPherson?

Quick is unbelievable tonight in net............ another power play for NY Rangers -- they have to score on one of these......

ah, Grant Green should remain -- Raul Ibanez should be DFA'd. Green will be back up and hopefully before the Sept. 1 call up (playoff eligibility) deadline. IF the Halos make the playoffs and RIGHT NOW it appears that they have good chance of capturing (at least) one of the Wild Card spots....then Grant Green's versatility a lot more valuable roster addition that Ibanez -- essentially just another DH type bat and field off the bench.....with Hamilton back, Pujols, Cron etc. we have enough of these one dimensional type players already.

Mancini79 -- I take it you are coordinating the tailgate event and are going to get there early to set up??? I have a Preferred Parking pass for Saturday that I won't be using -- if you don't already have a parking pass, we can arrange to meet up early at the OC Grill so you can get the pass, save a few bucks and that way I can also give you the box of waters I'm bringing down to take over to the tailgate........I find that there's never enough bottles of water for folks.......they tend to go fast. e-mail me and let me know.......also, Lou, the UCLA Bruin fan, says he can't make it to the game because of some family (graduation stuff) commitments -- so Chuck, please e-mail me. Don't think the Kings played their best game but good enough to win and that's what counts. out shot the Rangers but were something like 0 for 8 on the power play. that final minute in regulation was wild -- I think the final two minutes/ minute of close NHL game (particularly a playoff game) is about the best thing in sports.....always a frenzy, and like a prior post -- I still can't believe the puck didn't go into the net (several times) for one of the teams -- multiple scoring chances. Kings up 1-0 -- let's win Saturday and take this thing back to New York up 2 to 0.......Kings in Five.
