I blame the silly new rule about not blocking the plate....... catchers are so leery of how this rule works/ is interpreted -- they seem afraid to do much of anything at the plate. I say scrap this silly rule and let's return to real baseball where the catcher blocked the plate and the runner ran him over and tried to jar the ball loose.......

It wasn't really a neighborhood play IMO because of the double-clutch and delayed throw. but Eithier at second was clearly out. if it was truly a neighborhood play, it wouldn't be reviewable. I guess one of interpreting out, when they call the guy out and the SS missed the bag, it's not reviewable. but when they call the runner safe, then you can see if the SS really touched the bag....... -
gotta be tough to take Kershaw out and put this guy in..........GEEZ. ok 4-4 -- let's hold 'em........

listening to Scully on the radio -- enjoying this -- it's been a while........brings back a lot of memories -- grew up listening to Scully almost every night during the baseball season -- it's third inning so it'll be back to the Halos telecast guys soon. RIchards likes to pitch to Conger and it shows.........Conger looked pretty good behind the plate tonight...... so if he goes 0h for at the plate -- if he can call a Richards game like that......well.....I put him in there....
