Milwaukee has taken a 3-2 lead over Cards in St. Luis........bottom 12th -- 2 outs. now 3 -- Milwaukee wins a game they absolutely had to. tough loss for Cards -- they led most of the game.........Brewers tied it up in the top of the 9th........after Gomez stole 2nd and 3rd (off the pitcher not off Yadier) and then scored on a fly ball hit.

well, Gene Autry did give Richard Nixon a lifetime pass to the games........... our celebrity list is pretty thin -- and that's actually a good thing........... we've got REAL baseball fans at the ballyard (well, OK not quite St. Louis or even the rabid SF Giants fans but a great ballpark to watch baseball).

I would have kept Rasmus in to start the fifth -- chances are he would have had a quick inning and then you bring in the pen for the sixth. but that's water under the bridge now. Grilli got knocked around tonight but to be fair, the mis-played ball by Trout is what made it a big inning --(but that ball was hit hard and well, caught or NOT). Grilli's been effective (more effective than Frieri - not a high bar to be sure) since coming over -- guys are going to have rough patches -- tonight was Grilli's turn. we can still win this game and Oakland is losing.........so no doomsday for a team leading the division by 10.5 games.

this could get ugly..........we need to cut this Seattle offense off this inning right now. and then get off the floor with our own five run inning.

bad outing for Grilli but he's pitched well for us since coming over.........hitting a rough patch tonight. Rasmus could have gone one more and should have.........

a shot kinda right at you (in this case at him but over the head) is the toughest. sight line may have gotten him. Trout closes on balls hit to the outfield as well as anyone. not liking this inning........ Really, Rasmus couldn't go one more?

before they broke for commercial break, looked like Rasmus was gathering up his hat and glove to go back out to the mound......I guess he was clubhouse bound. Grilli in -- OK, I guess -- but this is more of Sosh's formula baseball -- he had game plan -- Rasmus goes four and then regardless of whether it's 43 pitches or something else, that's what happens........if Rasmus would have gotten12 first pitch ground ball outs, Sosh would probably still pull him...........oh well.

Rasmus looks like he's headed back out to the mound to start the fifth.........good. we got what we asked for -- lets' see if we want what we asked for........
