  1. Price, Zobrist, and Heyward are musts this offseason imo. Zimmermann right up there too. 100% agree with Adam.
  2. To be fair, he's an Angels rotation #2. A 4/5 on most other playoff teams. I don't trade him though. One of the few that's come up from the beginning and actually delivered.
  3. I assumed this was going to be Jewish related.
  4. I think I had Seattle winning the World Series over Pittsburgh in my preseason predictions. Not much better.
  5. 8700 people for an exhibition AHL game. California is coming along nicely.
  6. Gulls sticking to the Reign 4-2 in the 2nd. Theodore and Ritchie are putting on a show from what I'm hearing. Wishing I went now hah.
  7. Completely agree with T-Dawg. How people aren't more worried about the rotation is beyond me. Sure, we have young guys in Richards, Heaney, Skaggs, (Newbomb in the waiting) Not something I want to fully commit to without 1 true proven anchor in the rotation. This is the time to go out there and pay for Price. Have him at the top of the rotation. Seriously explore trading Santiago, Richards, and Shoe (In that order). Richards obviously has the stuff and sure I might be jumping the gun due to his very mediocre 2015, but I can't see him coming anywhere near 2014 again. 2015 is right around what he'll give us and I'm not particularly thrilled about that. If we can ship him out for a bat I say do it. Same thing as Adam said though. If we trade 1 or 2 of our young arms, we definitely need to bring in a few veteran arms in their place.
  8. 41 games sounds about right. The next one will be a season. And yes, there will be a next one.
  9. Is Freese the guy you wanna stick at 3rd for the next 3-5 years though? If so, then okay. If not, all I'm saying is Uribe would be a decent filler while Kubi/Cowart get more experience. Shared starts at 3rd for a year with Uribe wouldn't be the worst. Obviously not ideal but right now we don't have tons of options.
  10. Well what the hell else is out there, Nate? The Cubs aren't going to hand us Bryant. The Rays aren't going to give us Longo for Salas. Uribe obviously isn't a superstar but he still posted a 1.9 WAR this year. Still fields the ball great, Has the possibility of OBPing .330+ which is much better than anything we can put out there in house. He statistically had a David Freese clone season and is cheaper.. In regards to Heyward. He's 26. .293/.359/.439 with outstanding defense doesn't necessarily scream "He sucks" to me. But hey, we all have our own views.
  11. I was talking about Chris Davis with some friends over the weekend. Love the idea of bringing him in. Allows us to trade Cron and stick Davis at 1st/DH and LF. Unfortunately, Mulwin hit everything right on the spot. Cron, Aybar and Santiago are really the only guys with any sort of value right now that we can afford to trade. The only way we can really pull ourselves out from the ditch is by signing FAs. Our farm isn't producing much currently. Another 2 years of drafting could definitely help. Gotta open up the check book with Weaver, CJ, and Hamilton all coming off next year/2017. Sign Jason Heyward- LF Sign Ben Zobrist- 2B (Instantly becomes our highest OBP guy minus Trout even if he's 35 years old. That's one thing you can count on from him. Sign Juan Uribe- 3B 2 year deal. Yes, he's old but he won't have to start every game. Gives Cowart/Kubitza time to earn the spot. Great clubhouse guy and does get on base even at his age. Trade Santiago, Shoe and Cron for prospects or a SP that's MLB ready or already in the show. Sign Zimmermann or Price C- Perez 1B- Pujols/Navarro 2B- Zobrist SS- Aybar 3B- Uribe/Kubi/Cowart LF- Heyward CF- Trout RF- Calhoun DH- Pujols/Murphy/Navarro SP- Zimmermann/Price, Heaney, Richards, Weaver, /CJ/Skaggs (Expect Weaver and CJ to both be done before the end of May) Just spit balling. Haven't taken a hard look at the FA/trade market yet but by adding Heyward and Zobrist to the lineup it really improves our defense and OBP. Uribe too.
  12. I had tickets but I gave them away. I'm too tired from the weekend in SF to go tonight haha.
  13. The Martian- A What a movie. Best space flick I've seen in a while. Matt Damon put on one hell of a performance. A really loaded cast and they all shine. The visuals were amazing, the story was heart pounding. Kept you guessing and wondering.
  14. Some reporting that the shooter warned about this last night via social media. Disgusting.
  15. That was one hell of an episode. I loved it! Definitely can already see the upgraded budget paying off. I think she's on a Kree outpost planet. Makes the most sense since the Inhumans are of Kree decent.
  16. Hmm guess you're right, Bob. I was listening to one of the NHL Network feeds a few days ago and they said it was pending approval. BOG approved it back in June though. I like it.
  17. The OT hasn't been officially approved yet, GB. Most likely it'll go through with a possible 4 on 4 for 7 minutes and 3 on 3 for 3 or something of that nature from what I heard. Last night was fun. Lots of Ducks fans made the drive over. Great to see the boys again. Gotta say Khudobin was blowing me away. He looked amazing out there. We're in damn good hands with him. Perry looked solid out there. Rakell was beast. I LOVED the payback check Wags put on Lucic in the 2nd period. **** that guy. Glad Manson busted him open below the eye. Solid game overall though. Vats with a few mistakes out there but otherwise the D looked good. Loving Bieksa.
  18. Anyone else going to Staples tonight? Looking forward to watching Ritchie out there.
