This is nuts. Can't believe hes leaving so much money on the table at 30. Gotta give him props though for thinking of his family first. Granted, he'll probably get paid in the KHL like you guys mentioned.

I'll probably get ripped but whatever. Blanton hasn't been THAT bad, folks. 31.2 IP, 33 K, 8 BB, 4.26 ERA in his last 5 starts. He has been getting better. Seems to have a stretch of 3 or so QSs followed by one blowup. Granted, his H/9 are skyrocketing from his career norm, but he hasn't been given the best support defensively or offensively for that matter. Now I'm not saying signing him was a good move. I was extremely pissed off when we signed him and I still am, but hes not the reason for our season being in the shitter.

Yeah I think its mainly due to the fact we've only been to Wrigley one other time before this season. Angels fans are definitely growing though.

I love him, but I could be on board for Bourjos/Richards etc. for Cliff Lee. If push comes to shove, that is probably the only pitcher I'd even attempt to go after. Just say no to Garza. I'd rather have Vargas/Hanson when healthy over him.

I'm starting to be a fan of this trade. Didn't get a big current star, but we have A LOT of young talent with high ceilings. Here's hoping The Sens tank next season and we get a high pick.
