Honestly, if you've watched this season, tonight is an exact template of why the Angels have they record they have, and why they have another losing season, and why they won't make the playoffs for whatever year in a row. I have a tutor for a class I'm taking, dude is Muslim, but he's brilliant for what I'm learning. He lives in Houston, and when I was screensharing and googling something he saw "AngelsWin" and "AngelsBaseball" and said "so...you're an Angel fan huh?" He said baseball is not his thing, but was able to pretty much quote without hesitation how much the Angels have sucked and repeated what I said above word for word. He can't believe how much they suck with some of the best players in the game.

I like it I like it a lot. Every time I see this Maton guy it's like he's got ice running through his veins. He tends to be a very good reliever.

CaliAngel thinks Adell sucks and should already be gone. Strad thinks we should start him in left field even though he can't track a ground ball, and additionally believes we should flush at bats down the toilet for the next 2 years with him in the 6 slot, because some scout back in 2020 said he'll figure it out once he hits 25 years old. It's proven that this is how you win divisions, pennants, championships. Strad always thinks he's right so...good luck saying otherwise.

I hate the Asstros. I like Detmers. He was about to get rocked and it would have been a lot worse. He did not have his best stuff. 3rd time through the order, yowza, they weren't being fooled. Even the 2nd time through, they weren't being fooled...even though he squeaked out of it. It looked like Nevin even gave him a shot to make productive argument before he yanked him, and Detmers was pretty much silent. As much as it pains me to say it the Astros have legitimate professional Major League batters. You can see in their eyes before they even step up to the plate, they aren't scared, they want to beat the pitcher, they're hungry...and it's this way pretty much through the entire lineup. I know we're not used to seeing that kind of thing because 5/9ths of our lineup consists of horseshit defensive at bats with guys who don't know how to swing and the contact they make barely gets the ball out of infield...so yea! It stings! But what we saw tonight is what good baseball players do when they have a bat in their hands and why the Astros continue to be in 1st place year after year (as much as they still are f***ing cheaters IMO). Perhaps some fans on this board have become accustom to horeshit batting performances (Duffy, Adell, Velazquez, Stassi, Walsh, most recently Ward, the list goes on and on) but what we watch on a day to day basis is not acceptable on championship caliber ballclubs. This is why I argue so hard against giving some of these bums "another 2 years" to "figure it out" because scouts said they "should be good." Astros bring up a prospect, and they flourish. Why? Perhaps sometimes it's forgotten how a well oiled offensive lineup should actually operate. The Astros have it down to a pretty fine art.

Might certainly make a difference if they played like ballplayers...

Where do the Angel's find some of these bums they don't even look like ballplayers.

2nd time through the lineup...but he finished the inning strong. Really tough line out for a ground rule double, but I feel like his throw home the inning before should have been more accurate. I might be wrong but I feel like baseball in general has had a lack of accurate throwers from the outfield for a while. That risk to tag up 3rd on a fly ball to the outfield to score just doesn't seem to be as risky these days.

There is not 1 redeeming quality about Duffy. I'm still semi-okay with Adell because he has speed and people for some reason see potential, but Duffy needs to go.
