  1. Except there's no way he'd be getting to 700 if he was still on the Angels.
  2. Definitely. MLB's giving juiced balls to pitchers when Pujols comes to bat. He never hit home runs with such ease when he was with us.
  3. Gah! How many goddamn times are these bums going to pop up a bunt for an out? That's the 2nd time in the last two games I've watched where it happened. Unacceptable. And now with a K we're 1 out away from stranding runners, AGAIN. Pfff, and Stassi's up to bat oh joy.
  4. Quijada bailed out with the double play. Holy crap for a second there I thought he'd be walking in a run. Also, WHY are they forcing us to watch Astros highlights????
  5. So strange I feel like I've been hearing about this impending recession ever since the beginning of 2021 and yet here we are, still waiting for this impending recession. It's almost like some people don't really know what causes a recession, but they keep talking about it over and over for years in hopes that some way or another it can be willed into existence. I guess if people say there will be an impending recession long enough eventually when it does happen they can say they were right.
  6. Don't disagree with you at all. Just saying, not sure the people that vote for MVP look at it that way.
  7. I wonder if people say the same thing about Fenway, Wrigley, Doyer Stadium? I definitely understand Fenway and Wrigley aren't really in the same category, but isn't Doyer Stadium? Angel Stadium was built only 4 years after and IMO is somewhat a relic of Orange County considering it's the 4th oldest park in MLB. I haven't been there in a couple years, but man, I just loved it. Not saying I'd be against a new stadium, but when I see new places like Texas Rangers, or New York or Cleveland's newer ballparks, they just seem so sterile...so...unlike what it feels like to walk into Angel Stadium. It just feels like a ballpark. And despite not being a Fenway or Wrigley, it *does* have some great history no matter how much some might not want to admit it. They've lip-sticked that Chavez Ravine pig up pretty good, from what I've heard (my hatred of the team and the surrounding city deters me from even humoring a visit).
  8. It just feels like it's going the way that Judge will win. With his batting stats (see Chucks twatter post above), being on the stankees, making the playoffs...stankee fans have repeatedly stated how without Judge they wouldn't be close to where they are as far as standings...unless Ohtani has a hot streak coming up where he gets to 40 HRs and increases his batting average to .270 I don't see it happening. I don't really agree with it because we will never see a player doing what Ohtani does, but that's usually how this stuff goes.
  9. Thur Sept 15 LA Chargers @ Kansas City Sun Sept 18 Cincinnati @ Dallas Miami @ Baltimore NY Jets @ Cleveland Houston @ Denver Washington @ Detroit Chicago @ Green Bay Indianapolis @ Jacksonville Atlanta @ LA Rams Arizona @ Las Vegas New England @ Pittsburgh Carolina @ NY Giants Seattle @ San Francisco New Orleans @ Tampa Bay Monday Sept 19 Tennessee +9.5 @ Buffalo -9.5 Minnesota +1.5 @ Philadelphia -1.5 Two bonus games this week
  10. He played with an injury for a couple weeks before this IL stint, what makes you think he wouldn't come back to eat a 5 game suspension before the end of the year if he wasn't healthy?
  11. So it looks like we're back to scoring early runs, then doing absolutely nothing offensively for the rest of the game while the other team chips away for the inevitable lead. Just awesome.
  12. And he hasn't hit one since you posted this. Good job ruining the streak by trying to show someone up on a message board. Dumbass.
  13. Yeah that makes sense, and then what makes even more sense and speaks to what I said is the .230 as a team with men on base, which sounds about right. What hurts the most is those outs with runners on aren't even productive outs, they're usually pop ups, strikeouts or grounders that don't advance the runners. Like Velazquez last night, a bunt that he biffs for a pop-out to the pitcher --- unacceptable. It's why the Angels are where they are.
  14. Well, that pretty much tells the whole story about out offensive woes IMO. That's almost 2 free innings of baseball for any pitcher after they get through the 1-4 hitters. Even the #5 you don't have to challenge because if he gets on base you know nobody is going to be driving him in. It'd be interesting to know the number of stranded runners we've left on base this year. Has to be a record. It seems there are multiple times a game we leave runners on 2nd and 3rd to end the inning, even if the runner get there with 0 outs.
  15. I'd say the chances of going 50/50 with these ifs is lower than Jo Adell's batting average.
  16. Why does my page constantly have a video automatically come up with highlights of the Astros winning last night? It's every time I click to a new page. Why do I have to see that shit over and over? I'm sick of looking at Dusty Baker's stupid face.
