I disagree. Dude missed a month and a half and STILL has the 2nd most homers in the AL and the 4th most overall. You've got to be straight up blind to think any team (or a team that clearly has no problem spending money) wouldn't be happy to have Trout on their team, regardless of his injury history. He's still one of the best ballplayers in the league. As for Ohtani, I hope they pay to keep him, and furthermore build a team around him and Trout that is capable of making it to the playoffs. As much as I would love to wear my Angel hats with pride, I more want to see these guys get there because they deserve it.

Teenage girl viciously beaten at Brooklyn McDonalds

Why can't white people just behave themselves? They're the worst. -
I saw your record (70-91) in 1961 and thought it was weird there wasn't 162 games. Then I looked at the standings from 1961 and it looks like some teams played 162 games, and some (the Angels) played 161, the Twins only played 160. Maybe there were rainouts they didn't bother making up? Just thought it was interesting.

Adell with another throw, again no cut off man, this time 20 feet wide of the plate. Thaiss with another ball that gets by him on a throw to the plate. Then a clown throw to 1st by Weiss. 3 runs score. Oh, and this was all on a base hit to left field with the bases loaded, mind you. What an absolute joke.

About as much confidence as I have with him right now, something is still just off. Watching him out in the field just screams he's afraid of giving 100% and a good example is that fly ball he just missed. I know it was a hard play, but he was there and so was his glove, he just slid instead of diving like he's afraid of it. And while his bat has kinda sorta picked up I still don't like how many strikes he watches.

Yeah that's fine and good and we're all very proud of Ohtani for that...BUT! Have you SEEN the jersey that Judge wears????

Gameday Thread: Angels @ Rangers (9/20/22): Sandoval on the mound
CaliAngel replied to mmc's topic in LA Angels | MLB Daily
Oh well that's good that they're financially conscious. Hopefully saving money to ruin the telecasts offsets the $105 million we've been paying Rendon to sit on the IL for the past 3 years. -

I was watching the game and saw we had nobody out after Adell's clutch hit, walked to the kitchen, came back and the inning was over I was like WTF? Of course it was Stassi that killed the rally with a triple play. Really getting fed up with that bum. -

Sure is nice when the guys come through with some quality clutch hits with men on base. After the past couple months I kinda forgot what that was like! -
I'd give him a pass for his offense to be a "late bloomer" if his defense was somewhat impressive, but really it's not. The way he catches pitches costs us strikes, he can't catch runners stealing because his throws are usually way off, and he's not good at tagging runners out when there's a play at the plate. Then there was a run down between 3rd and home a couple weeks ago that should have been pretty much an automatic out, and he completely botched it by throwing behind the runner at 3rd way too early and the runner scored. Somethings off about his instincts behind the plate, and honestly there might as well just be a brick wall back there because that would pretty much fill the shoes of the job that he's provided defensively. But even then his performance at the plate is just horrible. He watches way too many strikes, then gets into an 0-2 count and he's screwed cause then he swings at the junk. His black hole at bats are the epitome of what this team needs to dump if they expect to be any kind of playoff contender over the next 2 years.
