  1. One thing I know for sure is the stadium does not carry Authentic sewed on jerseys anymore in the store. Got rid of that looking for them a year or two ago and I thought it was super lame. Sounds like they still do not carry them in the store if they're not even willing to sew numbers/names on jerseys. They now have those cheap looking 1 dimensional printed iron-on logos and names on reproduction jerseys hanging around the stores. No sewn on whatsoever, even though the print has a detail that tries to make it look sewn, but again its all just a printed iron-on. I don't know why anybody would waste their money on those they look terrible.
  2. Complaining about winning. I can't say it's a new one, but that doesn't make it any less dumb.
  3. Never swings too hard, nice and easy contact and he hits it where its thrown. Too bad on this team his talent seems to be going to waste.
  4. Can't argue with that. Contending teams press harder and put more pressure on themselves to succeed as the season progresses, as the games get more and more important. They grind out games to the last out, they find ways to make things happen. This team for some reason doesn't do that. Even if we did make the playoffs, the kind of team effort we've seen this year is not indicitive of a team that would be successfull in the postseason.
  5. We can't even hit .500 and might not the entire season. Disappointing is an understatement.
  6. I don't think you're putting into consideration the person who made the post. If you did, it'd come off as much less of a surprise.
  7. Who the hell looks at the uniforms in a Jim Edmonds highlight reel? dumb
  8. But ask yourself, is this really what A-Rod plays for? For example, how's he helping his team win now? Becoming a Yankee was just icing on the cake in my hate for him.
  9. Whether he stopped at the wall or not, that was an amazing catch.
  10. Not a problem, there are plenty of away games left...
  11. But he should be given more than 8 games to prove himself. I'd say like others have mentioned, putting him there for the last 2 months of the season would be a good amount of time to evaluate if he belongs there or not. The guy was jittery as hell over there those games where Scioscia put him there, all cause Skip was breathing down his neck, and the pressure was waaay on. You know how Scioscia is, guys can't even get a few deep breaths in before he's yanking 'em or moving them back around.
  12. Makes no difference to me, I ain't paying to go to the stadium to watch these clowns.
  13. This team is effing embarrasing. These guys should be ashamed. I wouldn't call what they're doing out there "MLB quality baseball" that's for sure.
  14. Has this ever happened before to any team? Completely embarrasing for the Angels. They seem to break records for failure day in and day out. Talk about a gaping hole of ineptitude from our pitchers.
  15. Neither was Glaus. Guys got a killer arm just needs some practice. Scioscia's inpetitude has again cost this team a potential gold nugget in the hot corner because of 3-4 games (which is BS). I'm begining to hate this teams unwillingness to look outside the box in the name of sticking to the books. There's things called intangibles. Spontenuity and trying things out and keeping people fresh is what wins ballgames. Fat man's reliance on the safe move is killing us. Trumbo can't be any worse than Callaspo at 3rd, that's for sure.
  16. These kind of posts are bullsh*t and should not be tolerated. Not to mention, Troll dadddy, 99% of your posts are a waste of bandwidth and provide no usefull content. What? Actually, I see great bunting situations a lot and the team doesn't utilize them well at all. Especially Aybar. Holy effing hell. If you're going to bunt in that situation, angle the freakin bat to bring it down the 3rd base line. Not hard at all. Every time the guy bunts it's like he's never done it before. This has been going on for years now. So sick of Aybar and his constant poor performances when we really need it. Hate to say it but Texas has balls and heart and you see it when they play. This team is a freaking joke and it's obvious day in and day out. Need somebody to light a fire under this teams ass, that's for sure.
  17. I talked back to my mom one time in the car on the ride home from school... ...and she backhanded the sh*t out of me while driving before I even had a chance to see it coming. I wish parents were more like my mom these days...
  18. Yah, Simpsons are the best forever and always.
  19. I'm not going to miss hearing "and the ball skips by 3rd *just* out of the reach of Callaspo..." that's for sure. This is a good trade. Callaspo has been practically nothing since we got him however long ago.
  20. Which reminds me, Iannetta should be next on the trading block.
  21. I think we all know Figgens (when he played for us) was an exception in almost every facet of the game. You'd be hard pressed to find another 3rd baseman like him.
  22. Yup. And apparently Trumbo's 2 appearances were enough to show Scioscia he couldn't play over there, which really never made any sense to me. Give the guy a month to atleast get comfortable.
  23. I would trade our infielders in this order: Callaspo, Aybar, then Kendrick Kendrick is the best of the 3 IMO and like others have said is better than people give him credit for. I also like his defense.
