Although I was rooting for the Pirates, I am kind of glad the Cardinals made it because its the one of two teams I think the Dodgers will actually have a tough time beating. God I hope they sweep them! IN FRONT OF THE DODGER CROWD. And I hope they go nuts.

I think mainly my issue with Butcher is, what pitcher have we either acquired or brought up through the system that improved performance once he got to work with Butcher? All we've seen for the most part is decline and mediocrity. Pitchers serving it up in situations where they're asked to perform. Butcher walks out to the mound in tight situations and a pitch or two later our arm gives up a big hit to the other team, almost like they'd be better off if Butcher stayed in the freakin' dugout. This has been going on for 4 years now.

That is some bologna subjective bandwagon logic if I've ever heard it. I wonder what it's like just being able to hop on the coattails of success when a team starts to play well? You know, disregarding what a joke the Dodgers organization and its fans have been for the past 2 decades. I wonder what its like not having a problem cherry picking what good teams to root for year to year, and finding ways to justify this and that. In some ways I guess its because I'm envious that I just can't let go of the A with the halo over it. But then I sit back and think the other way. The feeling of winning after sticking it out for so long really makes it all worth it. And I guess that's something some people just aren't willing to wait for. You're really only fooling yourself.

I just don't see how this helps the team at all. When the pitching coach can't make the most of what he's got, and you see a decline in the performance of the arms once they get on this team, its clear Butcher was the one that needed to go. I can deal with keeping Scoscia one more year, but Butcher being around to go and talk to the pitchers followed by giving up big hits and go-ahead runs is pretty much unbearable. I don't know whats going on with this team anymore. Management/Ownership seems completely oblivious to reality.

This team has been hard to watch the past couple years. These unorthodox moves are not going to make it any easier. Butcher and Scioscia need to go.

OK - so I'm just imagining it whenever the A's score runs they talk like nothings happening but when the Tigers score they yell like its like its game 7 of the world series. Definitely not rooting for the Tigers nope.

Holy crap the a's don't quit. After watching the angels all season that's pretty refreshing.

Why do the commentators on the radio sound like they're rooting for the tigers?? Its so f***in annoying.

Long Beach on 2nd Street place called Simmzy's makes a delicious Arugala Salad Turnover pizza and has a great selection of 36 beers. A lot of other stuff on the menu that looks delicious but haven't tried. Was a little pricey but good enough for me to going back and try something new. Belmont Brewing Company in Belmont Shore has an awesome lobster pasta and the Strawberry Blonde beer is great.

The Dodgers won't beat the Red Sox. Who do I want to win? Neither.
