    Never understood the keep the bat on your shoulder while you know a perfectly good strike is coming. That wasn't really a pitch to hit, but they should be up there ready for a fastball right down the pipe to square up when the count is 3-0.

    We can get away with these kinds of error blunders against crappy teams, but giving up outs to opposing teams is not going to fare well against good teams that take advantage of these kinds of mistakes. Our defense really needs to tighten up if we expect to be legitimate contenders as the season continues.
