  2. Good Asian restaurants like Panda Express? Oh Percy.
  3. Tough one. But for the season I would say no. I think the demand for him will be highest in the offseason. And even then, I don't think the haul will be worth it. Judging from last season and the offseason, seems teams are valuing prospects higher than ever. And on a more sarcastic note. I wouldn't trade Kendrick, because someone may get punch drunk again, and determine we have an opening for Cano or Utley.
  4. $144 million so far for 2014. http://www.angelswin-forum.com/forums/topic/1169-estimated-opening-day-salaries/
  5. He's played the last 10 games for the Bee's, and 29 games total. So I think so. He also has an OPS Of .971 right now. Granted, minor league numbers don't equate to major league performance. But for who he's replacing, major league numbers doesn't equate to major league performance either.
  6. Just as a healthy discussion. But would Trout sign with a team, in which he has never gotten to the playoffs with, and who traded all the players that could have gotten him there to rebuild? The only constant in 4 years will be the last year of Hamilton and a guy ready to claim social security. You may also not have that manager that you are familiar with in 5 years. There will be plenty of teams that will offer him more money than he knows what to do with. So you really have to make an environment in which Trout will want to stay in. I don't think rebuilding is that environment. IMO, you have to attempt to win for the next 4 years, if you want any hopes of keeping him.
  7. Easy. 2002. starting pitching was 8th in MLB in ERA, 4th in Innings pitched, 4th in wins, and resulted in a nice addition to the trophy case. (Yeah, I was surprised at the numbers also)
  8. This is a tough question. Will the Angels be competitive next season? Also, how much is Vargas going to ask for? Do you really want to waste another year of Trumbo and Trouts control and give up on next year? Especially since FA'cy pitchers are slim. With the numbers he's put up, and being a lefty, and FA'cy being slim, I think he will get a good deal. So will he take 3/$30? Not sure, but he is a local boy (apple valley), so maybe he is comfortable here. Also got to take this into account. Prospects we trade for might not be ready for 1-3 years. So that's 1-3 years of not helping the big club, and 1-3 years of Trumbo and Trout closer to free agency. IMO, I think I'm changing my mind from my previous stances earlier, and unless an offer comes out that blows you out of the water, you keep him. Offer him the 3/$30 to see if he bites. Come the offseason, you offer him arbitration, so that if you lose him, you get the compensation pick. And if he accepts, it's a one year deal, and you still try and sign him to a 3 year deal.
  9. Nothing will change, because no one criticizes him, that matters. Look at the post game questions. And when someone does criticize him publicly, they are called a hack writer (TJ Simers). So they continue to live in their own comfortable cocoon. Nothing will change, because we are all lemmings catering to the rich, and taking it up the ass while asking for more. Nothing will change, when there are 33 thousand lemmings buying tickets to a subpar product, just because of an ugly hat. Hamilton will continue to bat towards the top of the order. Blanton will be wheeled out there every 5th day. This world runs on money, and there is no financial reason to change it.
  10. I would watch Trumbo in the HR derby. Otherwise, unless Trout or Hamilton is participating, could care less. But I do agree that he shouldn't do it unless he's on the All Star Team. It'll be better to enjoy the few days off, than to go to the circus and have to sell peanuts.
  11. If we didn't make the trade, then at the time the same posters would be bitching about not making moves. It's a no win situation, and probably the reason why players and management probably give 2 rats ass what is posted on a message board.
  12. Dang Nate. I don't think I even want to know how much $$ you've spent on your town already.

  14. 4. LOL. Although the Angels question was incorrect. Because Pujols is so slow, if the RF got the ball, he would have had a play on Pujols at second. So there was a defender behind him on that play.
