    I have a feeling that there may be a blockbuster Phillies to Yankees trade. Especially after Palpelbolm mouthed off. Similar to the Boston/Doggie trade last year. Like a Lee, Howard, Palpelbolm for Teixerra type of blockbuster.

    Doesn't look like much offensively, but his War is huge which means he must be a beast on the defensive side. So I guess between the Dogs and Cards.

    After watching this, you will feel sorry for Knight. Hopefully justice is done in prison.

    Teams that are ahead and in to win it all. Doggies. Could use a 2B. Braves. Could use a SS. Cards. Could use a SS. Maybe you could get them in a bidding war? Wouldn't hurt to try at the very least. But I would hate to help the Dogs. And we have dealt with the Braves and the Cards before.

    I wouldn't give up on Frieri yet. he's approaching arb 1, so he still has club control for 3 more years. And Closers can be expensive and most erratic. We trade him, and who do we have to close? Or pay $10 million on a chance in the offseason.

    Look at the lineup we had today. Subtract Trumbo. That is one sad lineup. It's already bad enough that Shuck was our leadoff/DH for the game.

    Brandon Wood hit .907 in Arkansas. Saying Arkansas is tough to hit in is just an excuse.

    I think you have to add to that. The starting pitching free agent market isn't the strongest this offseason, and hasn't really been that great for a few years now. So any kind of starting pitching is at a huge premium now.

    De La Rosa has some value. But only the Angels would trade a very serviceable reliever that has over 5 years of control left.
