I have a feeling the Angels may be active in the claiming portion of the waiver wire. They may not get anything. But they will put claims in. Heck, any above average pitcher gets waived, we should put a claim in.
I'd fly out of LAX. Most of the major airlines fly there, along with the Hawaiian ones.
The key to LAX is to time your flights so you don't have to drive to and from there during rush hour.
I don't get this line of thinking with the MLB. If players have already pleaded a deal with MLB, then like Braun, it should be announced immediately.
Right now, it looks like Arod is controlling the circus.
So some scenarios I see happening.
He comes back. It feels great. Then next season it flares up again.
He comes back. It hurts. Then he finally has surgery, and we miss him for the first half of the season.
He doesn't come back. he doesn't have surgery. Then next season it flares up again.
God miraculously cures him.
Nationals. Angels had holes at pitching. Nationals had everything in place to go deep in the playoffs.
Guess that's why they play the game, and not decide the season on paper.
But that's the problem. You have the CBA with the Union. You can't just go making up rules and penalties.
The best chance for harsher penalties is to go by the contract, and put it on the players that want a clean game. This might be the only way to get 1 year and out penalties, and even revolking the contract clauses in the CBA.
