Looked online, and Trumbo uses a 34/32. I'm thinking 34 ounces, 32 inches?. Trout uses a 33.5 oz. Hamilton looks like a 35 inch. Can't find a weight on it though.
I look at it a bit differently. Madson was a pure risk reward signing. Just didn't go our way.
Burnett. I think his loss was probably the biggest for our pen this year. And Bone Spurs are a pretty common surgery with pitchers. CJ also had the surgery this offseason, and I think Weaver had it a few seasons ago. His numbers were rock solid coming into this season. So let's hope this season was a blip and next season he comes back.
Add to that Coello coming out of no where. Then going down to injury.
He's tired of being called fat and wants to wear slimming pinstripes.
But in all seriousness, yes it worries me that both the Yanks and Orioles are putting out the welcome mat.
Once the umpire establishes that that is a strike. As a hitter you have to swing at pitches outside because as a hitter you have to assume that's how the ump is calling it.
As a pitcher, once you see that called a strike, you will keep going back there. Because even Trout or Ruth couldn't hit that pitch.
That at bat is all on the umpire.
Yeah, that's surprising. If someone claims him, they can take him right? He's still a young player, and if a pitching coach can figure him out, he has plenty of upside.
