    Because he's fat. Duh. But you look at all the greats modern hitters, they were able to steal, but then decrease that and keep their hitting up. Bonds, Gwynn, Afraud, etc. Might also be a durability issue. Going all out, sliding into second. Then having to go back because of a foul, over a course of a year, and even a career, is very wearing on the body.

    If the overhaul happens this offseason, I really don't think Tanaka will be posted. I have a feeling the rules may be agreed upon this offseason, but they won't take effect until next season. And because of it, you may see a large amount of players posted this offseason, so that teams can maximize their dolla...yen. Hopefully the Angels aren't tunnel visioning their scouting on Tanaka and looking at other pitchers and relievers.
