It makes perfect sense. Although, if it's a difference between $650 and $600, is it just me, or do the Angels seem to penny pinch in certain areas (see Trout's raise), and then get to be drunk sailors in the other spectrum.

And one other thing from last nights game. Not really about last night. But they showed the out of town scoreboard. I turned to my buddy and said, remember, you are in the OC. Sure enough, they showed the Dodger score. It was beautiful how the crowd cheered.

So, the tickets I had were about 10 rows up right behind the Coyotes goal. All I can say is WTF was that goal. I don't think the pan shots give that goal justice. It was like a flutter shot, or totally mishit, that went 8 feet in the air, and you see Getz in front try and head it and totally whiff. Goalie didn't even see it, since he was busy looking down trying to block it like a regular shot. Totally an enjoyable game. Glad we won it, or I would have banned myself from the Ducks game for the rest of the season.

For a team with little depth pitching, what did people expect? For 90% on this board, it's probably nothing less than that Price would be waived and the Angels claim and keep him. It's more than likely just for AAA depth. And if he doesn't work out, doesn't really cost us anything to hit the eject button.

Would actually think the #1 job for Baylor will be Trout and Trumbo. Anyone else think it odd, that he mentioned 100, 110, 120, 130 k's a season, when Trout had 136 last season? I also still think that Hamilton and Trumbo struggling per se at the plate really is what cost Eppard his job. Unlike some people on this board, I think the Angels think of Trumbo as a long term asset. Also with Baylor being in the OC. I hope he works with Trumbo at AK's academy this offseason to get a head start on him.

so I was talking to my Calgary friend. Just to say crap about the game tonight. Guess in Calgary, every game is practically sold out. But they only get to watch half the games on tv, if that. Guess we are spoiled seeing all the games on tv.

What hasn't really been discussed on here. Since I guess it's taboo, or people already lit the torches and sharpened the pitchforks on trading Trumbo. And this is going along the lines of what Boston did. But what if the Angels ate $10 million a year on Hamilton? Was his September a sign of him turning the corner? Would other teams be interested in him at $15 million a year (which isn't right because his contract is back loaded, but you get the picture)? Does he need a change of scenery? And yes, I know he has a full no trade clause. But players have waived that no trade to go to places where they could be productive. For instance, Yanks need offense, and he has done quite well there. Wouldn't even rule out going back to the Rangers.

Oh, and since it hasn't been mentioned yet. Dipoto and his D'back recycling rejects.
