  1. Giving the Raiders a run for their money. Reports: Jets fan in video once killed
  2. Getting peanuts would be a raise.
  3. Worse case scenario. Moreno decides to sign Cano, then says we can't go over luxury cap.
  4. One report I heard on the news says the kid was constantly bullied.
  5. That was really really really really cool.
  6. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/heres-why-many-americans-getting-204446320.html Sooooo. I'm single with no kids. Why do I have to pay for maternity care and dental care for children?
  7. http://www.latimes.com/sports/dodgersnow/la-sp-dn-dodgers-don-mattingly-20131021,0,760028.story#axzz2iPRtZK00 Dang, after reading that. Not sure where Mattingly will end up. Tigers, Reds, or Nationals might just swoop in and offer him a 3 year deal.
  8. Well, what you have to check for, is evenness of the signature. Autopens have been around forever. And you will see an even flow of a signature with an autopen. Where an actual person signing it will have a unevenness to the pressure put on the pen. Also, while it may say Arte Moreno, you will have to compare it to other signatures to make sure it wasn't done by a secretary. That being said, you have a rare find where the Arturo actually admits to falling short of expectations. I will offer you $5 for it. Because it will cost me money to get it framed right, and I have overhead of this store.
  9. Going back to an Iannetta for Buehrle trade. Stat Wise for Buehrle. 2013 1.35 WHIP, 4.15 ERA Career 1.28 WHIP, 3.84 ERA So it's pretty close between Buehrle and Vargas. 2013 1.39 WHIP, 4.02 ERA Career 1.32 WHIP, 4.30 ERA Also, Buehrle is a workhorse averaging 200 IP every season minus his first callup. He's 34 vs Vargas 30. The big deciding factor is Buehrle is owed 2/$37 million. Where who knows what Vargas will get in this seasons pitching void free agent market. Also to add into the equation, Iannetta is owed 2/$10.5 million, and Vargas was paid $8.5 million last season. If you could get the Blue Jays to pay $20 million of the $37 million. I think it's a great deal for the Angels. At $15 million, it's more of a neutral change. And anything less than $15 million, and the Blue Jays are dumping salary on us.
  10. Stat Wise for Hughes. 2013 1.46 WHIP, 5.19 ERA Career 1.32 WHIP, 4.54 ERA IMO, if you get Hughes, it's to replace Vargas. 2013 1.39 WHIP, 4.02 ERA Career 1.32 WHIP, 4.30 ERA It looks closer, but in 2013 Hughes had 29 starts, and only 145.2 IP. That's an average of about 5 IP per start. Also Hughes makes Santana proud in the good/bad years. IMO, Hughes is like a last resort.
  11. Male Jets Fan Decks Female Fan In MetLife Stadium Fight
  12. http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=687779&navid=nhl:topheads A little tidbit that ESPN kind of downplayed.
  13. With the way the Samulei's are developing the Pond, and with the transit mall right between the Pond and Angels stadium. Makes me wonder if they are planning on putting an outdoor mall on the street between the Pond and Angels stadium. You have to think, once the Transit Center is built, the existing parking for Metro and Amtrak won't be needed anymore. Plus with the deletion of the existing station, the Katella entrance can be used instead of the one under the freeway.
  14. From one rumor I heard, they have an agreement in place. It's just they didn't want to sign the extension during the playoffs.
  15. Nevada school shooting: Teacher killed, two students wounded
  16. It's a good thing we didn't print shirts about those fluky moneyball A's.
  17. Average Age of the Angels. 27.8 years old. Ranked 9th in the MLB. Youngest team 26.0 years old, and I don't want to become the Houston Astros.
  18. I wouldn't either. But not for the $37 million he's owed the next 2 years. If the Jays ate $20 million of that, then sending them Iannetta would make more sense.
  19. Anyone else think that Leyland was much older?
  20. So, according to the article. The Jays need pitching. Yet want one of our catchers, in which what the Angels need is pitching. I don't see a fit.
  21. I think it's way too early to pursue him for a spot. But he should be on the list of the contingency plans. Way down the list though.
  22. Was a good episode. It's really beginning to ramp up.
  23. Wow, no love for the goalie in the stars? He should have gotten one or two. Without him, we lost.
