  1. Here is a weird idea. What if you moved Ebar to third? When players start losing a step, that seems like the natural migration. His arm is plenty strong for third, but his range isn't what it used to be, which would also be good for third.
  2. And he's standing right behind you. Don't look though, you might draw suspicion.
  3. I would think you would use what Texas got for Teixeria as a baseline. + a few more prospects. I really don't think anyone can afford to trade for him right now. The price will become more affordable in 2 years, when he has 2 years left before free agency. Price, as in David, if he gets traded this offseason, would be a good measuring stick.
  4. Not sure I like Ebel as bench coach. But Disar did lead the Pawsox AAA team to the playoffs.
  5. Yup. And hopefully they will have a wireless telecom aspect in place also.
  6. How about Eric Chavez? No, he wouldn't be full time. But he could cover 3rd for 1/3 of the season, and it looks like his bat is back. So it would be a solid bat off the bench. And he could probably be signed for a million or two.

  8. I'd add Colby Lewis to the mix. He had TJ, then had spurs in his hip last year. If healthy, he could be a steal.
  9. Well, hopefully we win the bid. Weaver, Tanaka, CJ, Richards, then you could go after an innings eater #4/5 type pitcher which there are quite a few of in FA'cy.
  10. In the salary cap world, you have to keep Andersen. Especially with the Getz and Perry contracts. Could the Edmonton group be talking to Hiller to see if he would sign an extension? Especially since it was execs at the game and not scouts?
  11. I don't know Scott. I think the Angels should have offered him a QO. One year at $14.1 million wouldn't have been a horrible deal. But if he signs with another team, we are looking at Weaver, Wilson, Richards, Blanton, and probably Jerome next year right now. And to get that 4th and 5th pitcher, it will cost us plenty in the trade market.
  12. Talk about falling off a cliff. Halladay was considered the best pitcher in baseball at one point, with discussions about Hall of Fame possibility, and now, not even a qualifying offer.
