  1. But unlike Madson. Wilson did pitch last season. Granted, only 13.2 innings. But it was 13.2 dominant innings more than Madson. Someone will drink the cool aid. Someone always does.
  2. Wait for the Howard + Prospects for Trout talk that I'm sure is up in the next hour.
  3. Rockies going to take the Cleveland route and sign sign sign? Especially since their first round pick is protected.
  4. Idea of Dodgers ending up with Masahiro Tanaka is getting traction Maybe the LA Times can sell other teams on the quality of Blanton also.
  5. Interesting. So the top bid will still win, but the bid itself would be an average of the top 2. With pretty much a deposit attached. I still don't understand why all this blind post stuff. Just stick it on Ebay and let everyone watch as the teams bid each other up.
  6. If no agreement is reached. Doesn't that mean the posting process stays as is? In which case, I think he will very much be posted.
  7. With the MO of Beane. He could smell blood right now, and trade Donaldson for an absurdly huge haul. Like a Teixeria to the Braves type haul.
  8. Veteran leadership. Also his D seems to be above average. D in the Mausoleum is very important. It's a good pickup by the A's.
  9. 4th place = Get out the popcorn, AW.com gold incoming.
  10. The market for Brian Wilson appears strong, but the Yankees aren't in the running
  11. Scherzer 5.079 MLB service experience. Agent: Scott Boras
  12. Because pitching is so scarce. Young pitching especially will have an especially high price tag this offseason. Every team will want to compete. And the way FA'cy is going, teams will want young under controlled players in return. Everyone says that Trumbo is the best chip we have. I think Calhoun is probably the one that most teams will ask for, and even that might not be enough to land a young arm with huge upside. Look at the Doggies. They are stacked in pitching. And yet they will be pursuing pitching like it's gold this offseason. Yanks needing pitching won't help the economy for pitchers either.
  13. Cashman: Yankees could lose Cano Has Big Splash written all over it.
  14. Yankees will not sign Brian Wilson ... because he won't shave his beard
  15. Get ready to deal Calhoun and prospects then. Those that want young pitching will want young under control players.
  16. I still think the deal that is going to be made is an Iannetta + Blanton/Hanson for Beuhrle. It would give the Jays salary relief, a catcher, and more than likely in Hanson's case a second chance/potential starter. Angels would get a solid innings eater back end starter for a net less than they would have paid Vargas.
  17. Who needs a factory. All you need is bamboo, rope, sulphur, crystal, charcoal, and salt.
  18. I'm sure Doggies will want to trade Kemp, or Eithier, or Crawford. But unless they are willing to eat a significant portion of their salary, other teams will want a Puig or pitcher added in.
  19. Jennifer Lawrence's Moving Exchange With Emotional FanBravo. Some of the young people in the limelight should take note.
  20. With Granderson out, Yankees focus on Choo, Beltran Here you go AO. A team that plays the QO game.
  21. We have Butcher and Reagins. We don't need Dave Duncan. /cry
  22. Some thoughts. On Tanaka: This might be very true. Remember, he has 3 years before free agency. If the posting rules are changed enough, the team may think that they are better off not posting him this year and waiting one or two years. Remember, they just won the Japan Series, so posting him might make sense only if the team will get a considerable amount of cash. There is only one that I know of is fairly accomplished at a very young age. Are teams already making a run for him?
