  1. Wonder if it's the price or the length of contract that they are balking on?
  2. 2/$14 with a club/vesting option for a third year. But start at 2/$10 as an initial offer. Angels need 2 pitchers. And he may be the best cheaper contract and short contract players available.
  3. If the price is right. Of course, this is the Angels we are talking about. We'd be Adam Sandler getting his ass handed to him by Bob Barker.
  4. I think Williams and Jepsen will be tendered contracts. Doesn't make sense to not tender them and let them walk away. Especially in this pitchers market. If they need to clear their salary, they could always trade them later on and at least get something. Hansen would be more risky, just because of the pricetag on him. He's more of a trade before the non tender deadline and at least get something for him.
  5. It's just for show. Part of the costumes is to wow potential supporters. She is from District 12 which mines coal. So the stylist decided instead of coal, he would make the coal make fire.
  6. Hurry and patent it Geoff. It's a food truck/fair food waiting to happen. BacoCin or BaCin or BacoCina. Heck just the aroma of the food cooking can get you the bacon or the cinabon people.
  7. Hopefully the bears family will kill the hunters family as a tribute to their late father.
  8. Ok, is this a tease, or is there such a thing. The Fair circuit would like to know, before they fry and/or dip it in chocolate.
  9. Saw these tidbits on MLBTradeRumors. Cafardo On Samardzija, Price, Kemp, Pierzynski Sounds like they are asking for the moon. For the Angels, I don't even thing a Callhoun, Cron, Lindsey, Moronde would get them to the table. If that's the case for Kemp, shouldn't the Angels at least see if there is interest in Hamilton? Hamilton has 4/$98 left on his contract. If the market is opening up for Kemp at 6/$80-90 which is $13-$15 a year, why not Hamilton at $15 a year? 2013 Kemp .270/.328/.395/.723/0.5 WAR Hamilton .250/.307/.432/.739/1.5 WAR Career Kemp .293/.350/.493//843 Hamilton .295/.354/.530/.884 Kemp 3 years removed from a high of .324/.399/.586/.985/7.8 WAR Hamilton 4 years removed from a high of .359/.411/.633/1.044/8.4 WAR Kemp 1 year removed from a .303/.367/.538/.905/2.3 WAR Hamilton 1 year removed from a .285/.354/.577/.931/3.3 WAR This would clear $15 million from the books, which would make an impact on who we could sign.
  10. Weird. It works for me. Gist of the story is. Fool had bought bitcoins in the beginning when it was cheap. He changed computers or harddrive, and threw away his computer and harddrive. It wasn't till a few months later when bitcoins were approaching $1k that he realized he never backed up his bitcoins. He tried looking for it at the dump, but realized just how much trash is thrown away. lol
  11. If you look at most star baseball players, the stats will show that their best years last around 6-9 years before they start their declines. Cano is on year 5-8 depending on where you start his prime years. And considering he's hit an ops over .900 twice in those 8 years. Let the Yanks pay for what he's done in the past.
  12. Robinson Cano says he never asked for $300 million The difference between mice and men. Or in this case between Jay Z and Boras.
  13. Considering Josh Johnson got $8 million, Hudson got 2/$23, and Vargas got 4/$32. I can see why the agent would say that. AW.com value, not worth it. Rest of MLB, worth more than the $3.9 he's scheduled to get.
  14. Tdawg has a better chance at winning the lottery and marrying Trout. Let me ask you this. What would it take for another team to trade for Trout? Pittsburgh will offer Alvarez and Walker. With the Sale logic, the Angels should jump on it.
  15. With the Options. He won't be a free agent till 2020. For the Angels, nothing short of Trout would entice the Sox.
  16. Strategy can be dependent on circumstance. If the Angels truly are limited to the CBT, then he doesn't have much money to work with, and you could see many short cheap deals. I think even Tanaka will have it's limits, and people are getting their expectations up too high.
  17. $9M Bitcoin haul buried in U.K. rubbish tip
  18. Halladay will sign with a team like a Seattle, or Padres that play in a pitcher friendly park. Somewhere where he will start in the MLB, and IF he bounces back, will get traded to a contending team at the deadline.
  19. Report: '99 percent' chance Cubs trade Jeff Samardzija this offseason
