  1. If you are going to do that. i'd rather offer it to Choo and Granderson. And you might still have money left over.
  2. Thing that scares me about Jimenez is that WHIP. His lowest Whip 2010 1.15 2009 1.23 2007 1.30 2013 1.33
  3. 2 year $9.5 million for Mujica 3 year $15.75 million for Smith Something tells me we have to overpay to get good talent. Both in FA'cy and Trades.
  4. How much would you offer a guy that's never pitched out of high school?
  5. If he's going to go all in on Tanaka, and go over the tax. Maybe he should have gone all in after the season ended, and re-signed Vargas and Williams to make the team that much more complete. Going all in and signing Tanaka now, would still mean Blanton is the 5th starter, and we have no depth beyond that in starting pitching.
  6. Grats Nick. Glad to hear mom and baby are doing well.
  7. D-Backs Looking To Trade Market For Ace, Power Bats
  8. MLB, NPB Reach Agreement On Posting System Grats on becoming a Skank or a Doggie.
  9. It's not that being 2 players away is the issue. It's that stupid comment and confirmation from several reporters that the Angels won't go over the CBT. If we could free spend like the Doggies, we really wouldn't be in the bind we are now. Heck, if we could go over the CBT, Jerome would probably be our long reliever/emergency starter/depth that we are also so lacking right now.
  10. Scott you craig'd me. http://www.angelswin-forum.com/forums/topic/9034-mlbtraderumors-comments-price-kemp/
  11. I can see it now. Callhoun, Trumbo, Cron, Lindsey, Maronde.
  12. Wow. Well, if the Angels don't bid the max, this team is truly hopeless.
  13. And if I were the Mariners. I'd go after Granderson and Choo, who they probably can get for less than Cano combined. Then go after Tanaka to make a sick King Felix, Tanaka, Iwakuma pitching lineup.
  14. I got your back bud. http://www.amazon.com/Tanaka-TCG22EASSLP-2-Stroke-Straight-Compliant/dp/B003JTGNQ4/ref=sr_sp-atf_title_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1386192370&sr=8-1&keywords=tanaka
  15. I'd rather have another bloated old person contract on the Yankees. I'd feel bad for Seattle if they broke the bank for Cano, only to have him go all Figgins on them.
  16. Anyone else find it kind of funny that they have the new chicks sister on talking dead last week, and how she was talking about the cutting edge lesbian angle. Then they kill her partner the next episode?
  17. With Cruz, it will only cost money. With Trumbo, it will eventually cost the money as he goes through the arbitration process, and you will lose a future MLB starting pitcher that will make minimal money the first three years. With how void the pitching market is, and what pitchers are making, most teams, and especially small and mid market teams who mainly have the best pitching prospects, will hold onto their pitchers.
  18. If Mike Trout went to the hospital, the baby would jump out in order to get a picture taken with him. Just saying, Mike Trout is the answer to everything.
  19. Right now, Halladay looks worse than Blanton. This guy went head first off the cliff of domination the last 2 years. Best thing he might consider doing right now is taking 2014 completely off/semi retire, and see if his arm feels better in 2015.
  20. A) there is no luxury tax. It's a competitive balance tax. it's ongoing. salary for the year, and it's calculated at the end of the year. It's also based on the 40 man roster. So trades at the end of the season for one year expensive rentals will count the % they played on your team. For instance, if you got Lee with 1/6 of the season left to play and didn't exchange money, the cap hit is $24 million for a full year. But $4 million for the 1/6 of the season.
  21. Not sure yet. The team may wait a year because of Tanaka. But he's projected to be a #4, so they may post him anyways.
