  1. Yeah, the previews remind me too much of Billionaire Boys Club. If anyone even knows what I'm talking about.
  2. It was supposed to rain later this week in So Cal. They replaced it with cloudy and a chance of sun.
  3. Doc, where did you find that snippet at? I'm looking at the CBT, and can't find that part. But this could be the main reason why the Yanks are trying to so hard to get under the CBT.
  4. Why is the CBT stupid? It was our front office that put out stupid money to the top free agents the last 2 years before this. The CBT is doing exactly what it's intended to do. Prevent teams from buying up the best free agent every year, without penalty.
  5. Probably will see expendables 3 hercules dawn of the planet of the apes godzilla jack ryan 22 jump street (tatum seems to be in a lot of movies next year) divergent capt america amazing spiderman 2 guardians of the galaxy xmen hunger games Intrigued and might see sin city edge of tomorrow (saw the trailer for it, and it seemed interesting) And that's just from their tops list. lol fury trascendence (saw a trailer for this also)
  6. Rosenthal on Angels, Qualifying Offers, Drew, Jays, Putz If this is the case. Might as well just have offered Jerome and Vargas offers.
  7. Reading more of the details that come out, it will be interesting how it plays out. They get an equity stake in Comcast. But the intriguing part is the ad revenue. Like the equity stake, I would think that it isn't affected by the sharing with the other teams. So that could be a huge bump. Angels get $150 million but 33% goes to league revenue sharing. So it's $100 million. Phillies are at $100 million, so $66 million. But with ad revenue, when in 2011 the Phillies had the highest regional ratings. That could be a huge amount that might not be touched by the league. That could leapfrog them over many teams.
  8. It makes you wonder. Last year Lohse was in limbo. He ended up signing a 3/$33 with the Brewers on 3/25/13. And he went out and put up a 3.35 ERA/1.17 WHIP season. Santana and Jimenez are pretty much in the same boat right now. The loss of a draft pick is a huge deterrent to most teams. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out. If a team comes swooping in and signing one or both for a Lohse like deal.
  9. And to think, I think it's really cold when I wake up and it's 60 in the house.
  10. Yeah, truecrypt isn't a password manager. It's more of file encryption. Which could still work in your case. Put all your passwords into a doc. Then put the file into the encryption container. Good thing about using this method is you can put anything else you want encrypted into the same container.
  11. Yes, Jered got sent down to showcase Jeff.
  12. Weavers contract expires after 2016. While he would get a return, with our pitching situation in the minors. It would be hard to replace the production. Especially at the price. Unless you get some sure fire future ace type pitching prospects, which I don't think you will, you have to pass unless he asks to be traded.
  13. well on your computer, you could use truecrypt. Or you could just make a system. for instance. For AW.com take the first 4 letters. AnGe take your screen name Mp and change the number 7 to an & 1&0. So for AW.com you would have AnGeMp1&0 for like ESPN you could do either EnTeMp1&0 or EsPnMp1&0 That way for every site, your password is different. You only have to remember what your key is.
  14. But there is some validity to what was in the article. The longer into the new year it goes, the more teams fill their budget up. That would lessen competition and thus drive down price. I think it'll be interesting if the Tanaka run goes till Jan 24th, and Garza, Arroyo and Santana haven't signed. That would leave 18 days for some teams between the deadline and when pitchers and catchers report for the earliest teams. Many will be set by then.
  15. Finding A Three-Year Deal In The New Year Interesting read. If past precedent holds, which often times it does not, Garza at 2-3 years might be better than Tanaka at 6.
