  1. When you have no fear, you will do anything. Time to put fear back in these nutjobs. And put use to overcrowding at animal shelters. Kim Jong style.
  2. Also, the problem with going to court. You can't lie. Barry never tested posititve or anything. But he lied to investigators, and that is how they will get him.
  3. Actually the PA had reps on Arods side. Arod decided to go against PA representation and hired his own. And I think as the PA stated earlier, that if there was evidence of use. While the PA would still represent them, they would also not condone the use. I think there might be enough backlash among the players that they don't want cheaters just as much as MLB.
  4. You have to remember though. Arod, along with all of the players in biogenesis, weren't suspended for the drug policy. But for the detriment of the game clause. Everyone pleaded down to the 50 game first offense for the drug policy. But Braun was suspended for I think 66 games. And as a technical first offender, he should have been suspended like Cruz for 50 games. But it's because of his denial from the first test that he blamed on a faulty test that he got off. As someone pointed out, or I read somewhere. The Black Sox got acquitted in an actual court for any wrongdoing. Still didn't prevent the commissioner from banning them for life.
  5. I've always wondered why the Angels didn't keep him on the 40 man. He showed some promise, but after his injury, it just seems that the Angels just gave up on him. I'm wondering if the injury that benched him was a lot more serious than what was announced.
  6. Rio suites aren't bad. They aren't Venetian, Bellagio quality. But they are comfortable cheap suites. Plus they have a shuttle going to Bally's and Harrah's, so you don't have to drive much.
  7. Considering that he lied to the commissioner on numerous occassions about not using, paid off people to hide his use, and also might have told other players how to use (see Cervelli comments), I can see why the penalty was so high. I would have banned him for life. Especially if he did affect Cervelli's actions.
  8. I took an ex to the steakhouse at the top of stratosphere. Planned it so that it was right before sunset. So you get a revolving view of the Vegas area in full light, and as the sun sets, you watch as all the lights and neon come on around vegas. I got some huge points for that. The steakhouse is average, maybe a bit above average. The price is high. But the view is what you are really paying for. As for other things, it depends on what your GF and your tastes are. Minor league game? Roller Coasters like at NYNY. Drinking? Just sigtseeing? Strip Clubs? Hey I don't judge if your GF is into that sort of thing.
  9. So I was in Vegas this week since a buddy had CES passes. I did the personal cardinal sin. I bet on the Ducks. I even told the lady at the sportsbook, I'm betting with my heart, and needed her help in trying to make a bet. Then I'm wandering around the casino, and there goes the Ducks, down 1, then down 2. A few explatives, and cocktails, and pissed off gambling later, and I look back at the TV, and they are up 4-3 in the third. So I head over to the sportsbook to watch the end. My bets. Ducks -1.5 Where the hell was the empty netter. Dammit Ducks Parlay. Over 5.5 goals. Straight Ducks win. So I ended up. But man. This is why I hate fantasy sports, and betting on my team. Because it's no longer about being a fan, but being financially in it. Oh, and over thanksgiving, I had my friend put a future on the Ducks. Got 16-1 on the Cup. They are now down to 10-1.
  10. Here you go tank. To wash it down with.
  11. Man are they laying the bodies on each other.
  12. Want Some Mountain Dew Cheetos? Head to Japan
  13. Those who put in the $20 million just to talk to him. They should know what he's asking by now. That could scare away a lot of teams, so they will start looking elsewhere. And the problem with waiting it out, is you may not have a seat when the song ends. Lohse is the prime example. Pitchers and Catchers report in a little over a month. Most teams are for the most part fully assembled.
  14. I think it'll start pretty soon. Teams should have an idea of if they are in or out of the sweepstakes pretty soon. And once they know they are out, they will try and pounce on the other pitchers. I think it'll take one pitcher signing, not necessarily Tanaka, to start the frenzy. A funny thought is, Jerome might be the one to start the frenzy.
  15. Sorry, it was found by a bunch of Japanese. If there was any beer. They would have already drank it, sang karaoke, and probably picked up on a few egyptians.
  16. TOMB OF ANCIENT EGYPTIAN BEER BREWER UNEARTHED
  17. Sign him up. A shrimp that can throw a baseball into orbit. Ah shoot. Even if we signed him. We would just trade him in 2 years, because we hate things that put baseballs in orbit.
  18. I don't know if it will. Only the Angels, Tigers, Yankees, Doggies and Red Sox have gone over the CBT in the 11 years the CBT has been in place. And the Red Sox was only twice. With the Yankees the only other multiple offender. Dogs are heading that way though. if the CBT is raised after 2016, it will only be by a small amount. CBT was made to keep the big league clubs from acting like drunk sailors every FA period. Players salaries are still going up, and 80% of the teams have no problems staying under. It's going to be hard to get enough support from the union and small market teams over the Yanks, Dogs and Angels. ****** Correction. Red Sox have done it 6 times. Yankees have done it every year. Angles, Tigers, Dodgers once.
  19. There is no way you could od on that shit. Have you seen the prices? You'd have to be a sports athlete or a politician to afford it.
