  1. Bunting cage. Big sign that says bunts only. CJ wilson pitching. Aybar, faking a bunt and taking a full swing. CJ Wilson hit in the head.
  2. How Clubs Determine Pre-Arbitration Salaries If anyone is interested. MLBTraderumors talks about this 0-3 pay scale.
  3. Ian Ziering Films Sharknado 2 in New York CityEven has a video of a scene shot live.
  4. Hope he's ok. But that didn't take long for the freak injury to happen. Wait wasn't Mulder in ST also. Dammit. Someone check the field for an indian burial.

  6. Well, considering a very popular breakfast is a breakfast burrito. Makes sense for Taco Bell to get involved. Actually very surprised it took them this long to do so.
  7. The compensation for 2014 should be announced soon. Looking at the transaction calendar. I think it's between March 2-11. So hoping it happens on March 2, and the new contract is announced later that evening.
  8. Ok, I decided to compare Trout, to Trumbo, to Hamilton. First note. Trout hits most of his dingers with an apex under 100 ft. Trout, 4 over 100 ft, 3 aided by wind over 10. 1 of those homers at home. 1 at Rangers Stadium. Trumbo 10 were over 100 ft apex. 2 aided by wind over 10, and 3 aided by positive wind under 10. 4 of those homers at home. 3 at Rangers stadium. Hamilton, 7 over 100 ft. 3 aided by wind over 10, 2 aided by positive wind under 10. 3 of those homers at home. 2012 Hamilton. 19 homers over 100 ft. 2 over 10, 6 positive wind under 10. 11 at Rangers stadium. 0 at Angels stadium. So take it for what it's worth.
  9. this might help. I'm trying to see if there is any correlations. http://www.hittrackeronline.com/detail.php?id=2013_1356&type=hitter&sortm=apex&sort=desc
  10. NHL Trade Deadline: Anaheim Ducks team needs They don't really say much. but it's an interesting read.
  11. While just a rant site. Came across this. http://www.rantsports.com/nhl/2014/02/15/10-bold-predictions-for-the-2014-nhl-trade-deadline/ But the gist of it if you don't want to watch the slideshow. They suggested MacDonald on the Islanders for a second round and a mid-level prospect. Not sure I like the -16 +/- though.
  12. 'Don't cross the streams': Great Harold Ramis scenes
  13. Yup. And if you look at most superstars not under the influence of PED's, the peak of a superstar player is about 6-10 years. Does it mean they will be ineffective outside of those years. No. But you will start to see a decline in those numbers. So having Trout for 9 of those years isn't a bad thing at all.
  14. The latest tattoo trend? Crazy realistic 3-D ink I know some of you guys are inked. And I'm sure it's been around for a while. But some of the tattoos looked really cool.
  15. Nice write up. Here is a question. Since he seems to do the flyball thing. Was the change from Arlington to Anaheim a factor? Flyballs in Arlington can go quite a far distance, especially depending on how hot and where the wind is coming from. It will be interesting to see if he rebounds in 2014.
  16. And no, it'll start in 2015. So a 6 year would be 3 arbitration years and 3 FA'cy years.
  17. I think for CBT purposes, it's added to the contract length. So a $10 million signing bonus with a 5/$100 for CBT Purposes is $22 million a year CBT hit. As for payroll purposes, it'll depend on how the signing bonus is paid out. Some are paid out over the life of the contract, some up front. Just will depend on how it's structures. My guess would be it's paid up front since he'll be around the league minimum amount for this season.
  18. There is a joke here somewhere. Probably involves coke, lasagna, and Aybar doing a bee dance.
  19. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000601/ Talk about a legacy.
  20. Man, this break seems almost as long as the Angels offseason.
