Sad to hear. But he has been battling Cancer sku's for a long time. Probably the best pure hitter of our generation. In 20 MLB seasons. He never struck out more than 40 times a season. His BB/K ratio was 1.82. To put it in perspective, Cabrera is a career 0.66, Trout a 0.60, and Bonds a 1.66. And if it wasn't for the strike, he had a shot at .400 in 94 and ended with a .394 avg. Broke my heart, when in his last game, the stupid manager in a meaningless game, in front of a home crowd, benched him and only had him come in for a pinch hit late in the game.
