I think there might have been two things we could have done differently that might have had a different outcome. First of course is, we should have stayed during Bush Sr.'s term. That would have brought an international coalition to help us. Second would have been not to dissolve the Iraqi military after the second invasion. If I remember correctly, those soldiers were even barred from holding police jobs. That's what created the power vacuum, and gave the terrorists a whole bunch of mercs.

Also Vegas. Other things like concerts. While Vegas has nice one day concerts or recurring concerts. I don't think they have a true concert hall that can bring in 15-20k people. A place where if a major band is doing a tour, a sure stop would be Vegas. Not to mention things like the Circus, Globetrotters, or even convention events. I can see a possibility of some company doing a huge premiere event followed by a concert at Comdex if this arena gets built. And Disney on ice type events, or even getting national events like figure skating championships. Even without an NHL/NBA team, having an arena that size can bring a whole new dimension to what can be drawn there.

Personally, this is one of the true tipping areas around. Since most people don't tip the maid, what you leave is IMO more of a reflection on how the service was. As opposed to waiters who think they automatically should receive an amount. My biggest question is, should you tip daily? Or should you tip at the end of your trip?

One odd thing about this whole Samsung vs Apple argument. One is how thin the new apple phone is, which makes it better. Which is odd, because when I got the Galaxy S5, I thought the phone was too thin. I was actually glad to get a case that made it thicker. It might just be me, but when something gets to certain sizes, things seem to be more fragile when the thinness also decreases. I think in Iraq it's a bit of too little too late. The situation in Iraq would probably have been a lot more different if we overthrew the government the first time. Instead of the invasion, then withdrawal by Bush Sr. Acutally probably would have received a lot more international support also back then.

Interesting things about the no EU/NATO MSN article. The whole size things matters. It would make Britain weaker. But would also make Scotland insignificant in the EU since their size is only a few million people, if they don't get blackballed by Spain or any other country.
