  1. After seeing those commercials about the logo unveiling. Thought this was interesting. http://sandiegogullshockey.com/news/index.html?article_id=46 The current San Diego Gulls are changing their name to Sabers.
  2. I feel much better with Gibson in goal. But WTF is with the D. It's like the O forgot how to play support the D and are waiting to cherry pick.
  3. WTF was up with the kid flopping around on the ground? And I don't think this was a person trying to stop a high speed chase. This was one of those pissed off drivers, who got run into, so it was their anger that made them flip out and gangbang him. So in other words, Dodger transplants. If Bruce Jenner ran into this minivan instead of the prius, he'd probably be dead right now.
  4. I would not rule out Oliver. He has a 2 24 episode season + 1 contract that started in April of last year. Stewarts going till the fall, maybe even say December. By the time Olivers contract is up in April, could be the transition hiatus for Daily Show. Heck, I can't believe the hiatus time of Colburn from the Report to the Late Show. As pointed above, Stewart was the highest paid in Cable. So you can throw money at Oliver. And Comedy Central just might, since it needs Oliver more than HBO needs Oliver. 4 days a week, prime time, vs 1 day a week in the late show timeframe. Biggest advantage Comedy Central might have. Pick your days and times. There are talks of expanding Olivers days on HBO, but I think it would still that late night hours. With the programming that HBO has, I don't think they can guarantee prime time on any days.
  5. So many greats on the show. But to me, the seventies, early eighties cast is my SNL.
  6. Are we seeing the last of Kessel in Toronto? Don't think we'd be interested, or have the pieces, or even want to trade that much, or even want to risk that much cap space. But he might be on the block.
  7. As long as she doesn't talk or act. Yes. But the moment she goes to Russia to help save Jack, then he better be traded to Russia. Her character needs to die!
  8. This disturbing image of a Chinese worker with close to 100 iPhones reveals how App Store rankings can be manipulated This reminds me of when Picturesque launched on Google. It had 500+ feedbacks. And only 10 downloads.
  9. This is where all those TV shows blow up in people's face. They see a ming dynasty vase sold for a few million, so my knock off chinese vase that looks just like it must be worth a few hundred.
  10. I'll give you a hint. It's the same numbers as I use on my luggage.
  11. Same thing happened to me. They had a house full of stuff. Some of it was brand new. Some was hardly used. Lowest I would go for sales is $5. Because after all of the ebay and paypal fees, that's about break even. Personally, save yourself the headache. Don't tweak, outside of cropping in photoshop, and post lots of photos. Use a generic description for all items, and just change each post with a section with the item specifics. Order priority mail supplies from the post office. Flat rate or priority mail. Ebay is also one of the cheaper places for shipping supplies like tape(how some of these places stay in business with free shipping, I have no idea). Make the buyer pay for shipping. And you have to have patience. Because things typically take a while to sell. And ebay gets weird sometimes. If you price it too low, it won't sell. But if you price it higher, it sells.
  12. I just bought the winning powerball ticket. So everyone, don't even bother.
  13. I do like that he is signed till 2020. So not a rental. 7 mil cap hit though. But being a captain on the Leafs means he's a character guy right? Don't know much else about him. Or what Toronto would want.
  14. sigh. http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/eye-on-hockey/25065621/report-sabres-jets-nearing-trade-including-evander-kane-tyler-myers
  15. A site said that the ducks have a 99.9% chance of making the playoffs. I think we are going to limp in, and give that 0.1% a scare.
  16. Bryzgalov has a five hole bigger than a 70 year old hooker that loves taking 3 guys in one hole at once 5x a day, 365 days a year, for 50 years.
  17. Is there a reason for Comedy Central to even exist anymore?
  18. It could be worse. She could have sweet Caroline stuck in her head. Or worse, Buttercup.
  19. Fast Food Burger Taste Test, From Wendy’s to Five Guys And the winner is....... hahahahahahahaa
  20. He's just trying to create a flipbook of him aging.
  21. Looking at the last 3 marvel films. Guardians of the Galaxy $774 million global box office - net of $503 million. Expense of $212 million. Profit 137% Capt America Winter Soldier $714 million - net of $464.1 million. Expense of $212 million. Profit 118% Avengers $1.5 billion - net of $975 million. Expense of $275 million. Profit 254%
  22. 1 Spider-Man 3 Sony $890.9 $336.5 37.8% $554.3 62.2% 2007 2 Spider-Man Sony $821.7 $403.7 49.1% $418.0 50.9% 2002 3 Spider-Man 2 Sony $783.8 $373.6 47.7% $410.2 52.3% 2004 4 The Amazing Spider-Man Sony $757.9 $262.0 34.6% $495.9 65.4% 2012 5 The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Sony $709.0 $202.9 28.6% $506.1 71.4% 2014 Just remember that those are gross box office receipts. For instance, this site breaks down budget and stuff. Avatar made a worldwide gross of $2.7 million. But approximate income is only $1.7 million so only about 62% of their actual gross. Avengers made $1.5 million, but approximate income of $981 million, about a 65%. Pirates dead mans chest $1.06 with approximate income of $853 million, or 80%. I think a lot of it has to do with how much marketing you do. With the spiderman's, I would think it would be in the 65% area. So Spiderman 3 made $578 for the studio, Spider man made $533. Spider man 2 made $508. Amazing made $492. Amazing 2 made $460. Budget wise. Looking at the movies above. Avatar Budget $425, expense of $516, 21% increase. Avengers $225, expense of $300, 33%. Pirates Dead man $225, expense of $293, 30%. Budget of spider man 3 was $258. So say 25% increase for expenses. $322 million in expenses, profit of $256 million Budget of spider man was $139. 25% expense. $173 million expense, profit of $359 million. Budget of spider man 2 was $200. 25% expense. $250 million expense, profit of $258 million. Budget of amazing spider man was $220. 25% expense. $275 million expense, profit of $217 million Budget of amazing 2 was $200. 25% expense. $250 million expense, profit of $210 million So the total profit they made on the 5 films was a guestimate of $1.3 billion. Which isn't too bad. But you can see the profit margins of the films. Spider man 207% spider man 2 103% spider man 3 79% amazing 80% amazing 2 84% And when it comes down to it, that profit margin is what is driving studios. Because while spider man is a sure thing. Sony has to produce Annie, and the Interview, and numerous other films that aren't a sure thing. They need to get that profit % into the 100's if not 200% range.
