And BTW, California is probably the strictest environmentally in the world, if not the nation. And even in the US, not many are following. So I highly doubt anyone will follow the US lead. Really, the only way they will follow is if you pay them. Because as you can see just by gas prices, no country will want to pay an extra amount a gallon to be environmentally conscious like the fools, I mean citizens, of California. Just to be clear though. If it's just an excercise. It's not uncommon. The Marines about 2 times a year do serious maneuvers in LA. I think they frequently invade the old Marineland property in Palos Verdes as a training excercise. But I remember I think last year, that there was a news bulletin/warning, about an evening air/ground assault maneuver they were going to do in downtown LA. Personally, I thought it was more neat than anything else. Didn't think there were any ulterior motives behind it outside of a training excercise in a real world urban area.
