  1. And as bad as Glendale and Burbank are. From what I hear, Palos Verdes is 100x worse. One story I heard was that if you wanted to redecorate the inside of your house, you had to get it approved from some city committee.
  2. Biggest problem with Cuba is no money. I think that might be the biggest detriment to Mexico also. On paper it sounds great. But when the fans you need to make it happen are probably making 10 cents an hour in Cuba and a dollar in Mexico, it'll be hard to support a team with a min of $70-80 million. Even the local TV deals probably won't relate well there.
  3. If it follows the previous years. It's at Pioneer Park I believe. 2565 E. Underhill, Anaheim, CA. Start time is around 8 or 8:30 or 9. Somewhere in that area. 4 teams. Single Elimination. If you win, you play in the championships then get drunk after. Usually get done around 12-1 for all three games. Those lucky enough to live nearby get to shower. Those not lucky enough, go drinking somewhere.
  4. Looks like they posted some of the Wednesday stuff. Starts at 12 am. So far up to 4 am. Looks like 4 am is the watch sales.
  5. The other thing I like about him is he goes to the net, and seems to have ok hands. Might be something to see on the #1 line. That's one thing about Maroon. He's a grinder, but just doesn't have the hands to find and handle the puck in front. I think the #2 line looks good with Kessler, Hagelin, Silfverberg.
  6. So shouldn't this be pinned up top. And where are all the sheeple? We should be up to 10 pages of scouting reports by now.

  8. Woman posts picture of parked car to Facebook, is jailed I think we have enough to throw Arch in jail for a few decades.
  9. IMO, some stadiums do need additional netting. Wrigley and Fenway, you can practically spit on a batter, they are that close. You barely have enough time to react to a line drive. Mausoleum on the other hand. I'm not even sure you need one behind home plate. It's so far away, you need binoculars from the front row. Personally, I don't mind the netting. It doesn't bother me when I'm behind them at baseball or hockey games.
  10. I'll co captain with Cory. I didn't ask him. Just volunteered him. And what's the story on game tickets/whatever dinner thing you were thinking of? I'm in for a suite. Have Claude start scouring Craigslist for a deal.
  11. Anaheim Ducks Sign Chris Stewart - Bargain or Bust?
  12. Yeah, I'm going to check at midnight to see when some of the deals are. I activated a 30 day trial to check it out. If I see the fire stick, I'll post the time that deal is on. I'm actually looking at the TV's myself. I just need a cheap bedroom one, and 32 or 40 would be nice. If anyone else has anything in particular they are looking for, post and when I do my midnight run, I'll see the times the items are up.
  13. IMO, we did that last season and got Kessler. Just because we fell short, doesn't mean we go Arte and just sign high price players, then complain and say we can't go over the tax. I like the team as is right now going into this season. I also like that there seems to be a plan for seasons after this, that keeps the team competitive. Sure Perry and Getzlaf can begin their decent. But as homegrown players, I am ok with that. Hopefully when they begin their decent, they will show some hometown love and sign team friendly extensions and ride out like how Koivu should have ridden out of Montreal with a team friendly deal. And if not, let some other team overpay. In any case, I look at Murray as a combination of Stoneman and Arte. He develops and protects the young guns. But unlike Stoneman, he will pull the trigger and make a trade that benefits the team when the right situation presents itself like Hagelin. And if the right FA deal is around, I would think he makes that deal also. But at least this offseason, when I look at the FA's, I really don't think the right deal is there that would significantly improve the club.
  14. When if you put a drought friendly front yard, they say you are violating code. When if you put in artificial turf, they say you are violating code. And in both cases you must rectify the situation or else you will be fined, and if you continue to be in violation of it, they will fix the situation at your cost. Yes, it's a stupid municipal code that is overstepping.
  15. Prime Day: Everything we know about tomorrow’s massive Amazon sale (including deal prices)Some interesting stuff listed so far.
  16. It's a stupid municipal code, that shouldn't even be there. So overstepping.
