  1. Cubs have to win it. Because the awesomeness if they do would be off the charts.
  2. That would be something considering the best qualifying catcher in CS% is at .435 this season. Top 5 is over .400. Top ten is over .352. You need to lower your expectations to 35-40%.
  3. Students protest transgender classmate's use of girl's locker room Well this should get interesting. I think I side with the girls on this one.
  4. Five teams have called Blackhawks about trading for Patrick Kane: Report
  5. For Syria and Iraq, yes. But most of the immigrant crisis that Europe is dealing with is more from Africa. Not sure the Russians care as much there.
  6. Yup. Already making sure the gutters and roof is clear. And that the pump under the house works.
  7. So many historical things destroyed by ISIS or the Taliban. That area and parts of Africa will be a cesspool of life for years or decades to come. All in the while, our immigration issues are nothing compared to what Europe is facing right now. I wonder at what point Europe will realize that sticking their heads in the sand isn't going to solve anything? And that the EU will have to mobilize a joint force to take action against ISIS.
  8. Also the current magic numbers for the Angels is 24 for the AL West and 29 for the Wild Card. AL west would be an Angels loss or Astros Win. And Wild Card currently would be a Angels loss or Texas Win.
  9. Texas is at 68-62. Angels at 65-66 If you assume they go .500 rest of the season. Texas 84-78 Angels would then need to go 19-12 If you assume they go their current clip of .523 Texas 85-77 Angels would need to go 20-11 I think any team that finishes the season at .600 has a chance. .650 and they probably for sure gets in. In 32 games, that would be 19-13 or 21-11. for the Angels, it's out of 31 games, so 19-12 or 21-10. So not out of the realm of the possible.
  10. This is a good time to check Facebook, and put out some Tweets from the first row behind the dugouts. Maybe get a few selfies in.
  11. Unlucky lottery winner gets IOU from state of Illinois Of course, it isn't looking good for California or NY also.
  12. Oh, and you want to know what the most suprising thing is? MLB Attendance 5th overall Angels 66 games 36,907 per game 81.3% occupancy 2.435 million so far.
  13. Sure it was goldstars discounted tickets, and not goldstars comped tickets?
  14. Ok, the scary thing is. Why do all those men have pajamas of this type handy?
  15. Oh I'm sure it's like a Spencers thing (are they still around). If not an adult bookstore novelty.
  16. Formula, or at least to eliminate horses from the field, that has been working for me at Del Mar this season. Scratch first time claimers, layoffs over 2 months, and jockey changes when most of the jockeys are there. (unlike last week, when Espinoza, Desourmoux and a few others went to the Spa) Only exceptions usually occur when the entire field is full of these conditional scratches. Oh, and eye candy.
  17. I heard 1st. But 7th. Yeah could be alcohol. Since he was 60, and screaming at Arod, maybe a heart attack?
  18. But the argument can be made that it was impossible for Dipoto to succeed this year. And that is because of Hamilton. His issue came out just as spring training started. Which is too late to sign a quality FA. And when you lose your #4 hitter and replace him with pretty much a platoon player, the offense will not be as good.
  19. So has any details come out about what exactly he was doing? Was he seated and jumped up and leaned too far? Was he running down the stairs? From what I saw in the only article I read, it sounded like he got up, like got up from his seat, and went over. And I'm just wondering how that is possible. I can see him going over the rail if he was running down the stairs. But even then, you really don't see that in the top level going down ever. And considering the MLB mandated that the rails be raised after that one fan died, I think it might even have been at Atlanta. A foul ball, and reaching over to grab it isn't part of the equation. And remember, this happened in the first inning. I guess if he was tailgating all day, he could be that drunk to fall over.
  20. Considering this is the Doggies we are talking about. They will make a QO, just to make a QO, and make some other team pay. It's only paper to them. For 9/10th of the reast of the league, it's money.
