  1. More than half the nation's governors say Syrian refugees not welcome Up to 26 now.
  2. Great start to the roadtrip. Way for Haeglin to bounce back from the benching.
  3. This is an interesting read. Ali Abdelaziz blames Ronda Rousey's coach, says she had the 'worst plan I've ever seen'
  4. Ok, what's wrong with Freddie? That's 2 games in a row with Dobin right?
  5. Guess it would depend on the price. He seems to be a good enough glove at 3B. And his offensive numbers are good. Seems that he is hitting his prime. Trade for him and phillips, then all we have to do is sign an OF, SP and some relievers.
  6. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/11/2015-16-top-50-mlb-free-agents-with-predictions.html#more-58933 Predicted 5 years/$80 million. Looking at his stats, he's about a #3 type pitcher. But he's 28, and help solidify a very young starting pitching staff. I think it would be a good addition, but a #1 pitcher would also be a good addition.
  7. John Oliver didn't hold back in his profane, frank reaction to Paris attacks Anonymous Threatens ISIS With ‘Major Cyber Attacks’ Following Paris Terror Tragedy
  8. Governors of 4 U.S. states say no to admitting Syrian refugees I think more will follow. Hopefully CA will be one of them. We have more than enough problems in this state than to add to it.
  9. Lotte Giants Post Outfielder Ah-Seop Son I'm actually hoping his bid doesn't get high so the giants retract the post and then post their thirdbaseman.
  10. And in one fell swoop. I take it back on the Rangers plans. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/11/mlbtr-mailbag-profar-papelbon-moreland-red-sox-phillies.html
  11. He has to be close to out of options. He started in the minors when he was 17. And he's now 22. Although it looks like he was injured for the entire 2014 season. I'm showing at least 5 seasons in the minors. Although I don't know if any of them were rehab assignments. In 2015 he spent a really short time in the minors (12 games) so might have been rehab. So if he's at 4 years, he might have 1 year left of options.
  12. I have a feeling for LF, they will take the lowest price. I think it's really between Cespedes, Upton, and Aoki. I don't think that Heyward is in the mix due to price and he's a RF. Aoki does make a lot of sense in that he might be the cheapest lead off hitter that's good. Aoki isn't even in the top 50 for MLBTraderumors list. So he might be had for say a 3/$30. Cespedes is listed at 6/$140 (and listed as going to the Angels according to MLBtraderumors), Upton 7/$147, Heyward 10/$200 And if you go that way then Zobrist listed at 3/$51 or Murphy (because MLBTR has him listed as going to the Angels) 4/$56. You get Aoki and say Murphy for $24 million a year. Then spend the Price 7/$217 or Greinke 6/$156 or Zimmerman 6/$126 or Cueto 5/$115. Just throwing stuff at the fan. We all know it's not legitimate unless Loriasucks oks it.
  13. Profar has 4 more years of club control and has played 2b, ss, and 3B. Rangers also have Odor that split time at 2B with Profar. Odor has played mainly 2B, so it looks like it's his position in the future. And they have Andrus signed till 2023 at SS. Beltre has one year left on his contract. If the Rangers want to go with the future, Beltre for Wilson? Both have one year left. Both will probably be given QO'ers. We let a young guy pitch. They let a young guy play 3B.
  14. Only problem is, the writer is guessing on what his philosophies might be. But it is interesting in the direction that it was probably going. While he has 9 points of offense. And it seems like one of those points is a productive out. I'm sure the over 8 is a sub product of a much more complicated formula, just for that one point. For instance, a swing at the first pitch, resulting in a hit is probably more weighted than a 8 pitch out. But an out on a first pitch is probably weighted a lot worse than an 8 pitch out. The types of statistical information they have access to is probably pretty staggering, compared to the info that an ordinary fan has access to.
  15. From what I understand. The Assad/Iranians/Russians are pretty much one group now, just calling them Russians for now. They are doing bombings of both ISIS, Al Quaeda, and anti Assad groups. Here is the problem. The Russians have boots on the ground. And if you are going to try and take over territory, say for instance you are California. It's probably impossible to conquer the US, if you skip everything in between and jump East of the Mississippi and not expect those you skipped to attack. So what the Russians are doing is trying to capture Oregon first, which has more antigovernment than ISIS. US is saying wait a minute, you have to attack ISIS. And Russia is saying can't attack ISIS than let everything else attack us in the meantime. After the France attacks, the US is beginning to warm up to Russia's thinking to combat ISIS. But the US still wants to arm Oregon and Idaho and Nevada, which is at odds with how Russia is trying to handle ISIS. As for the Kurds. I think the Syrian Kurds and Assad's group is not at odds that I have heard of. They are the boots on the ground that is attacking ISIS directly in the North. I think that is why the Russians seem to be advancing north more than they are south and east. Because if they can take over territory to meet up with the Kurds, that's suddenly a pretty good chunk of land they would control. Of course if they keep going and taking over into the lands the Kurds control, then it might be a different story. The big problem is the different factions of Kurds. From what I understand, the Iraqi Kurds have a thing against Turkey and vice versa. And because the Iraqi and syrian kurds are more allies than enemies, the Turks aren't real happy about it. And the turks seem to every so often bomb the Kurds instead of ISIS. Hezbola or however you spell them is a whole different can of worms. I think they are working with Iran and Syria in the South of the country. Which is annoying Israel.
  16. LOL at the Doggies. Money is still an object for Dodgers, who are trying to cut payroll from $300 million
  17. Problem is, the Iranians and Syrians are trying. And they have Russian help. But the Americans and Europeans are working against them. And lets not talk about Turkey and them trying to take out the Kurds.
  18. French jets bomb Syria in the ISIS stronghold of Raqqa
  19. I don't know if I would go that far. Granted I'm one of those that only will watch for Rousey. But I didn't watch this fight, because I didn't want to pay for a quickie like the last 2. The buildup to the rematch will be huge. I think Holm win or lose will retire after it. She is 34, and should get a huge payday. Rousey will be out for blood once she wakes up. I would not be suprised if they try to have the fight in some 90-100k stadium. Oh, and Rousey's mom is going to be pissed.
  20. If you watch the full fight. I like how holm had her hands up to touch before the fight, and Rousey just walked away.
  21. Fight in Russian. http://vk.com/wealon?w=wall-49264394_618877 And she got rocked. That punched she missed just before the kick was wow. Holm was at that point playing with her food.
