  1. Interesting. Just a rumor. Anaheim Ducks: Travis Hamonic Trade Talk With Islanders Not Done, Per Report
  2. here is the way I look at it. Can you trade him at $24 for 8 years? Yes, but you would have to eat a good portion of the contract. In our scenarios, 50%-33%. So say the Angels get him at $16 for 8 years. If it doesn't work out for us, can you trade him at $16 for say 6 years? I think it's a lot more possible. Even if it's $12 for 6 years. But more realistically, if we trade for Cano at say $16 for 8 years. You have to look at Trout having 5 years, so this move will be to make sure Trout has a core behind him that includes Simmons and Pujols and probably Calhoun for those 5 years. So even if we have to eat the last 3 years, it would be $48. But you know even old, he probably would have some value. So say $8 value. So we would risk $24 million. So I don't think the risk is too great, considering good 2B's will be getting $15 and maybe even more this offseason. I'm actually leaning more towards the I'd do the deal if it was for $16 a year.
  3. There are so many OFers out there. We better get one of the better ones. Or at least one that makes sense (like if we get Aoki, since he does make sense for batting leadoff, but isn't one of the better outfielders)
  4. Yeah, it actually does make you think. He'd fit right into that leadoff spot. He's typically a healthy player, minimum 156 games for the last 9 years. He had his lowest OBP last season at 334. He's a career 356. low .779 OPS, but he's a career 850. Con is he's 32, and has 8 years left. Then again, a 34 year old Zobrist might get 4 years. Looking at what second basemen might get right now. 12 is probably a no brainer. 16 you have to really look at what Zobrist, Murphy and Kendrick get.
  5. Angels 2016 At least you can watch us on TV.
  6. State Department issues worldwide travel alert Too soon to joke, the Black Friday sales will blow your mind?
  7. I'd take Cano for $12 million a year. I don't think that Seattle would do that though.
  8. Hahahahahahahahaha. Robinson Cano reportedly unhappy in Seattle, would like to go back to New York
  9. The Anonymous 'war on ISIS' is already falling apart
  10. Virtual reality seems to come around every 10 years. Still not a fan.
  11. Tank. There are no Schitzo ads. And no links on the side. Hank, No need to burn down the site and hunt everyone down.
  12. Yeah, reasoning skills aren't the greatest in the post apocolyptic world. Then again, if you have half a brain, it seems that you just put a red shirt on, and are part of the away party.
  13. Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2. Everything that Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 wasn't. Continued to follow the book kind of closely. Although not sure about the whole Gale ending. It's entertaining. Although the last part of the movie might be disapointing to some.
  14. And you say us Asians don't know how to drive. We are equally as bad.
  15. Was there a game tonight? If there was, doesn't seem like the team showed up.
  16. If this was 30 years ago. ISIS would already be in the WWE fighting along the Iron Shiek and Nikolai Volkov.
  17. Man charged with murder, rape of 7-year-old girl I think the dad, uncles, and family friends should get that same 25 minutes with him.
  18. You know. I think I read an article on that site. Mexico is going to put up a wall on the border because too many Mexicans are entering Mexico than leaving it.
  19. IMO, the problem with Syria is this. Checking records. There are no records in Syria to check. US does not have relations with Syria from what I have read. Same with domestic agencies. With these refugees. You are relying mostly on international forms of information. FBI, Interpol, etc. For instance, some of the terrorists in the Paris attacks were not on the terrorist watchlist. Pretty much all information about Syrian citizens are a black hole. I don't even know if fingerprints will help. You can see if they match up with international databases. But if they committed crimes in Syria, you may not have access to that information. A majority of information needed to make an informed decision is just not available for Syrians.
  20. Puig is talented. But it isn't on the field numbers stuff that irks the players. It's off/on the field antics, discipline, and for his lack of baseball devotion for lack of better term. I guarantee, this guy will have a huge season just before he hits FA'cy, then become the next Ryan Howard once he signs the big deal. He is becoming the poster child for the term clubhouse cancer. If Papelbolm was on the Dodgers, they'd probably be duking it out in the clubhouse every other week. And one of the rumors is that Greinke won't sign with the Dodgers because of Puig. No way would I want that in the Angels clubhouse. Even if he would help the team.
  21. Kessler is just having too much fun. On the Ducks website. They have a video of him, pretty much dressing up like a normal fan and trolling the team. edit: found the video
  22. Oh, and Ritchie is really making a case for staying up with the big club permanently. Man, he has been great on the Kessler line.
