  1. No comment. I'm sure people will keep defending him though.
  2. But my solution would be simple yet complicated. Take the politicians out of Washington DC. With technology today, the politicians should be working/serving in the office of the area where they were elected. For votes, speeches, whatever, they can teleconference in. This would put the politicians in direct contact with those that voted them in. Instead of in direct contact with all the special interest groups in DC.
  3. Would make no sense for them to post Otani already. The new bidding process, with a $20 million cap, makes holding him till one year of service time remaining more beneficial. If they post him with what, 4 years of control left. There is probably some huge warning signs on him.
  4. I wouldn't put it past the Angels to not even post a bid on the Korean 3B, not take a chance on the Korean closer, pass (even though they never would get him) the Japanese starting pitcher. Then sign the Korean LF, when they get shut out of an absurdly crowded FA OF crop.
  5. So two foreigners built it for him. And looks like a lot more decided to build up the towns computer systems from computers built from crates to actual pc's.
  6. He makes sense for us. But no way the Angels will get him with the new bidding process. Dogs and yanks have been shut out on the big names, and will bid max, and team name recognition will give them both a leg up on the competition.
  7. I'd stick with 3B. Although neither position stands out as much keep. At least with 3B, you know Cowart can at least field it. And with Simmons next door, it might make that side of the field extremely hard to hit off of. Fallback is Kubitza. Neither will burn it on the basepads. With 2B, they can't field or hit. Gia looks like a career AAA type guy, and is going on 28. And sadly, I don't know if we have any better options at 2B.
  8. Nationals Join Mets With Interest In Neil Walker After Missing On Zobrist Someone is going to overpay.
  9. Played golf near the Indian Casinos down in Temecula. Specifically Valley View. Noticed that they are doing a lot of solar projects in that valley. They had one big solar farm that I saw. And the neighborhood (which was an enclosed one) that the golf course was around, every house seemed to have solar panels on their roofs.
  10. Oh. And cough cough. Pdf versions of it are available. If you want one, ask Mr. Wicked.
  11. yes. Although that boat is actually modeled after a top secret actual military boat.
  12. Dang. Even my go to online used bookstore is $274. http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?sts=t&tn=sled+driver Blackbirds are my all time favorite plane.
  13. Looks like something that would fit perfectly with the magnetic railgun that the military is developing. Oddly, I thought of this first and not a star destroyer.
  14. no surprises. I think this is where everyone thought he would be. Just surprised it was the Cubs that got him. They do have a bunch of young infielders. So in the tail end of his contract, probably Zobrist will be more of a mentor.
  15. Not really. Considering a certain someone bought a team with practically nothing, and sold it for an insane amount of money. And still owns the parking lot surrounding the dump.
  16. Hahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahaha Hahahahaha Had to post from vacation Oh and hahahahaha hahahahaha
  17. Vernon Wells was a 3 time gold glove. Silver Slugger. And was in 2 all stars by the time he was 27. See how stupid of an arguement age is?
  18. As I said in the SW thread. There would be some targets that would rally both sides and bring full fury on ISIS/Al Queda. 911 brought the rain and thunder down. I really think there is a reason why there has been no direct attack on the US since. Because as 911 showed, it didn't bring fear at all like they hoped. It brought unification. If you hit Disneyland, Star Wars opening, Rose Parade, Baseball or Football among others. Those are big things that would rally the nation around, both sides of the isle and the vegetarian section. And our boots would be stomping on their fuzzy heads.
  19. My guess. They sign Freese, Utley or Kendrick, and Fowler. Why? This puts us within range of the tax. And gives us flexability to make a trade at the deadline if we are in it. And doesn't hurt us long term if we are out of it. Why Fowler. Of all the OFers available. Fowler is the only #1/leadoff hitter. That is the Angels need. Everyone else is a #3/4 hitter which the Angels have. As other posters seem to like to say constantly, we have plenty of HR hitters. (which I disagree with, since we are low on SLGing) And he would be the cheapest. We have a GGer in RF, a god in center. Fowler also isn't a slouch and should do well defensively in LF. I also think they take a run at Maeda. If not, only to run up the price on him to the Dogs. Oh would be nice to bolster the bullpen. On Heyward. If we sign him, we will be St. Louis' bitch once again. Think about it. Heyward has already said he likes to play in St Louis. With the way the market is going 10/$200 might be cheap. If we match, it is St. Louis. To lure him, we have to do a Pujols and beat it. Which will be 10/$250-$300. But no matter what I say. It doesn't matter, since I am not Loriasucks.
  20. They were 19 when the war to end all wars WW1 ended.
  21. They are getting smarter and using the system. And considering the system. Not that hard to do.
  22. If they hit. Nukes will be talked about. Big baseball or football game, and same thing. It would be the tipping point to boots on the ground.
