    Calvin and Hobbes ended 20 years ago. Here’s how it changed everything. It and The Far Side both closed up shop in 1995. But their legacies live on. I agree. The end of 1995 was when newspaper comics died. To me, those two were must reads of the day. My favorite of both.

    CNN is saying that the fire is 90% contained. Sure sounds like an optimistic %. I'm actually surprised it hasn't collapsed yet. Also, 14 injuries, no deaths so far. And considering what it looked like, that is really good news.

    On a somewhat related note. Everyone remember who we traded Kazmir for? Most were kind of upset, since they thought the one pitcher was a future ace. Kazmir was traded for Alex Torres and Matt Sweeney and a PTBNL, Sean Rodriguez. Matt Sweeney never made it to the bigs. Alex Torres was just signed by the Braves with a invite to spring training, after being designated by the Mets. Sean Rodriguez is awaiting his rematch with the Gatorade cooler.

    Is it just me. Or is something very wrong with the system? When you get 10 years of probation for murdering 4 people, and then you break probation in a planned way, and your rumored penalty is only 4 months. If you break probation, especially going on the lamb out of the country, you should have that probation converted to bubba land.
