My thoughts too. It's actually a good deal for the Royals and Gordon. He stays in KC where he spent his entire career, and they won it all. He gets the curtain call all season as champions. And for KC, it's not that bad of a deal. And in the end, it's good to reward a long time team player, that resulted in a parade.
Now it will be interesting to see which direction the White Sox go. Remember, that their first round pick is protected. So the Cespedes no pick associated is not really valid in this case.
