  1. You'd think the minor leaguers who get called up would perform at a high level so that they wouldn't have to go back to eating at Taco Bell and sleeping next to the oven in the kitchen, battling it out with cockroaches.
  2. I think you all are missing my point... I don't care if the Angels cut a bunch of guys - but there is a residual impact to all of that. You have to replace them with someone and if those guys are prospects who fail - that might be harmful to their overall development. Maybe not. I don't know. I'm just throwing it out there. Some guys come up, get shelled (pitchers) or struggle at the plate and get sent back down... but that becomes problematic if you start releasing guys from the 40 man roster because you have to keep dipping into your farm system and you could call up someone before they're ready. I've spent way too much time on this.... so, that's all I have to say about this topic.
  3. The Mets are MLB's version of a reality TV show, full of train wrecks and eye rolling moments... not that Angels are perfect by any means.
  4. If it impacts a young player's overall development... then.... Yes.
  5. My point is in dropping too many guys... not specifically Quintana. Letting "young guys get some time" comes with risk. If they fail and you don't have any more depth - you're kind of screwed. They also suffer because there's no where for them to go... because there isn't enough depth on the 40 man roster.
  6. I think dropping too many guys with expiring contracts is a bad precedent to set.... you eliminate any depth you have - if the young guys fail.
  7. Let's say the Angels do that and call up some prospects... what if those prospects struggle a lot. Then what? Where do you turn next? I think it's unrealistic to think the Angles would/could drop a bunch of players.
  8. I never boo the Angels... but I don't really care if others do. I'd rather sit next to someone who boos the team rather than one that complains all game long about the team. One is much more annoying than the other, IMO. As for the Mets and their players... I don't give a rip.
  9. I don’t understand how there’s a dilemma, when the circumstances are out of your control. It’s not like you get to decide…
