  1. BTW... The price has definitely gone up. When I first bought my season seats (2004), it was buy two, get two free. It worked out to about $6 a seat. Those same seats are now about $15 a seat, if you buy them as season tickets.
  2. I should clarify that would be affordable for a road game. I typically spend more than that when visiting another stadium. I haven't had to spend that much for a home game because I've had season seats. Moving forward, I might spend that much because I'll be going to fewer games, but I'd be more likely to spend around $25.
  3. That's certainly different for everyone. I think anything less than $40 bucks is affordable. My season seats worked out to be about $14-$15 bucks a game - those same seats cost more from the box office, but would still be no more than $20 for most games.
  4. The Angels still allow you to bring your own food and water in. You can usually find good deals on tickets on StubHub... Again, it's all still affordable, IMO.
  5. There's a place in Los Alamitos: https://pastykitchen.business.site/ https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-pasty-kitchen-los-alamitos
  6. Going to games is still affordable, IMO - but you need to adjust your expectations and sit up higher than you might like. It's still a great experience most of the time. I don't think you have to be close to the field to have a good experience. I just gave up my season seats after 18 years. We sat in View MVP and it was just fine for us. It was hard to give up our seats, but we just don't go as often and it's hard to resell or even give tickets away. It's also not the same. When we first got our tickets - we had a great section with regulars who were there most games. It was like the movie "Fever Pitch" where the group was like our "summer family." We became friends with some of them (still are), but all of them stopped being season ticket holders years ago. We were the only originals from our section that were left. Being a part of that group was part of the fun of being a season ticket holder. Priorities have since changed... if I could still go to as many games as I used to, I'd keep the tickets, but it's just not feasible any more.
  7. Taylor was traded to Halo Heaven. We'll be getting a PTBNL... Poster to be named later.
  8. @Tank are you still watching "A Million Little Things?" I watched the first two episodes of S4 and I'm luke warm about it. I put off watching it because I was sort of tired of it after last season... I'm still not in any hurry to watch more.
  9. Not so fun fact from the 2016 draft... Matt Thaiss drafted #16 over all. Drafted after him... Will Smith #32 - by the Dodgers. Even more crazy... Pete Alonso #64 by the Mets and Bo Bichette drafted #66 over all by the Blue Jays. Angels took Brandon Marsh #60 over all.
  10. Fun fact... Yordan Alvarez was signed by the Dodgers as an Amateur Free Agent in June - 2016 and traded to Houston in August 2016 for Josh Fields, who is out of baseball.
  11. Taking a look back at the 2015 draft... #1 Pick: Dansby Swanson - Arizona Diamondbacks (traded to Atlanta) #2 Pick: Alex Bregman - Houston Astros #5 Pick: Kyle Tucker - Houston Astros #18 Pick: Phil Bickford (SF Giants) (Traded to Brewers and picked up off waivers from the Brewers by the Dodgers) #24 Pick: Walker Buehler - LA Dodgers #28 Pick: Mike Soroka - Atlanta Braves (note Taylor Ward was drafted by the Angels at #26) #41 Pick (Competitive Balance Round A): Austin Riley - Atlanta Braves #75 Pick: A.J. Minter - Atlanta Braves #87 Pick (third round): Brandon Lowe - Tampa Bay Rays #100 Pick (third round): Harrison Bader - Cardinals #208 Pick (7th round): Jake Cronenworth - Tampa Bay Rays Six players from that draft will be in the WS (technically 5 since Soroka is hurt). Several players from that year made it to the post season this year.
  12. That remains to be seen. I certainly hope so, but we'll see.
  13. Cool pics if the housing options for the Angels minor leaguers for next season.
