  1. I've already posted once in this thread, but I will probably continue to post every time I have another thought about Lou... No one has made me LOL on this site more than Lou. I remember a particular post of his... it was in a game thread and the Angels lost a big lead and he appeared out of no where and simply posted... "What did you guys do?" It was classic Lou and it was perfect. Others have tried to replicate that, but he was the original. He made it work. There were countless times when I went to post a thought and Lou had beat me to it and posted the same thing I wanted to. His posts told me that he had his priorities straight. That's for sure. And no one could get more out of a post with one word than Lou. If Lou called you a "dumbass" I hope wore that badge with honor.
  2. That's just devastating news. Lou is easily one of my favorite posters. I've also enjoyed his short, but to the point posts and his no nonsense attitude. I don't pay much attention to who likes my posts, etc., but I always smile when I get a "like" from Lou. I'm incredibly sorry to hear this news and I've noticed his lack of participation of late. I kept checking his profile and saw he was reacting to posts, but not really posting and I wondered. I thought about reaching out, but didn't because I thought he'd pick up his activity any day now... I will pray for Lou and for his family. I've never met Lou, but I feel like I know him a little. Just a little. I feel like I know enough to know he is a good guy. I'm honestly very saddened by this news.
  3. For me, the minor league rankings are somewhat meaningless. I see guys like Neto, Bachman, Silseth and O'Hoppe making an impact and that's what matters most. The Angels continue to promote guys who are having a positive impact. Sure, not all of them pan out - but enough do to make me not care about rankings. Maybe I'm missing something. I'm stoked about the work Minasian has done and continues to do. He seems to have a plan and a process and it's moving the team in the right direction. I know we live in a "what have you done for me lately" world - and so it could all go poof tomorrow, but I'm enjoying the journey right now.
  4. It doesn't make fiscal sense to use credit cards for any kind of investing. Minasian isn't "borrowing" from his own future. He's using his assets to achieve his goal. The bottom line is Minasian is using his assets wisely, IMO. He's using them to pursue the postseason. Good for him. Good for us fans.
  5. The credit card analogy doesn’t work for me. I pay off my credit cards every month and I have no debt.
  6. Maybe you're a bot too and this is all part of the scam!
  7. @mmc has to be a bot to be posting updates this fast.
  8. I thought there was a chance he'd never get to the big leagues. Hope he makes the most of his opportunity.
