  1. Gold and Silver Pawn Las Vegas, Nevada Ask for Rick. He knows a guy that can tell you all about them.
  2. Olympus has fallen 7/10 No real surprises in this one, and the bad guys are pretty easy to figure out right from the get-go. Wsh they would have explained something about what caused the presidents limo at the beginning to spin out on the bridge. Something hit the windshield but they never addressed it. Oh, and I love Ashley Judd.
  3. Bostonians celebrating in the streets like they just won the Super Bowl, minus the burning down of their city part.
  4. George Beverly Shea, long-time Billy Graham associate, dies Beloved Gospel Singer Teamed with Evangelist for More than 60 Years charlotte, n.c., April 16, 2013 – George Beverly Shea, 104, of Montreat, North Carolina, soloist of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), died this evening following a brief illness. Since George Beverly Shea first sang for Graham in 1943 on the Chicago radio hymn program, “Songs in the Night,” Shea has faithfully carried the Gospel in song to every continent and every state in the Union. Graham’s senior by ten years, Shea devotedly preceded the evangelist in song in nearly every Crusade over the span of more than one-half century. Shea was the recipient of ten Grammy nominations, a Grammy Award in 1965, and was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Grammy organization in 2011. He was also a member of the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame (1978), and was inducted into the Religious Broadcasting Hall of Fame in February 1996. Shea was also inducted into the inaugural class of the Conference of Southern Baptist Evangelists’ “Hall of Faith” in 2008. “I first met Bev Shea while in Chicago when he was on Moody Radio,” said Billy Graham. “As a young man starting my ministry, I asked Bev if he would join me. He said yes and for over 60 years we had the privilege of ministering together across the country and around the world. Bev was one of the most humble, gracious men I have ever known and one of my closest friends. I loved him as a brother. My prayer for his wife, Karlene, and his children, Ron and Elaine, is that God will strengthen them during this time.” Born in Winchester, Ontario, Canada, where his father was a Wesleyan Methodist minister, Shea’s first public singing was in the choir of his father’s church. Between Crusade, radio, and television dates in many countries, he sang at hundreds of concerts and recorded more than 70 albums of sacred music. At age 23 he composed the music to one of his best known solos, “I’d Rather Have Jesus.” “Even though Bev was 10 years older than my father, he never acted his age,” said Franklin Graham. “He was absolute fun to be with. Bev was one of the most gracious and unassuming men I have known. He was always encouraging and supportive, a man of deep faith and strong commitment to Jesus Christ.” Shea is survived by his wife, Karlene, and his children from his first marriage, Ronald and Elaine. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Erma, who died in 1976. Ron, born in 1948 in Chicago, graduated from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Ill., in 1971. For more than 30 years, Ron has been an associate in Crusade ministry through the BGEA, assisting in preparatory work for evangelistic crusades involving Mr. Graham and more recently for Franklin Graham’s ministry. He is married to the former Cathy Ford. Details on the funeral service for Shea will be forthcoming. Visit www.billygraham.org for additional information. – 30 – NOTE TO EDITORS: Photos, video and audio of Shea are available for download at www.bit.ly/GeorgeBeverlyShea.
  5. i think it was either abc or fox news that interviewed someone (an attorney) who had prosecuted a lot of serial rapist cases where the rapist was married with kids and led a very normal life during the day, but then turned into a monster at night, and people were devastated/shocked to find out about the double life. could be the case here.
  6. fox news just played a video interview with the boys' aunt up in canada. she's lost all good reason, wants the FBI to show her evidence, not just "some photos".
  7. if you read this in yoda's voice, it gives you a different opinion of gotbeer.
  8. saw this last night. probably be a good day for him to buy a lottery ticket or two.
  9. gotta wonder where they got all of their explosives. that may be a key in figuring out if they're connected to a larger group or working independently. like everyone else, i sure would like to know why they did any of this.
  10. i hope your trip is worth all of this hassle and expense.
  11. governor and mayor doing news conference now. how crazy is it that they've got the whole area on lockdown.
  12. No chance either of those guys are locals.
  13. He was still performing locally, too, but not for big crowds or a lot of songs. His dentist has a brother in my men's chorus, and a couple of years ago we got invited to his home near Fletcher, North Carolina. He was such an awesome guy. We spent about 90 minutes there just talking shop with him. He has seven full organs in his house but all the pipes are in the basement. He showed off a couple of them for us, including a self-playing organ (we had no idea there was such a thing). He even let our accompanist play one of them. He also sang a song with us, and let me tell you he could still bring pretty good for a man his age. One of the great privileges of being a musician was the opportunity to talk with him in his home. Thank you, George. Many were blessed by your message in song. See you in the morning.
  14. Cheap O air is giving you crappy service? Hard to believe, man, hard to believe.
  15. We don't have to wat until the end of September? Good.
  16. Piracy? So it's illegal? And to think, I was worried about it being difficult to hook up equipment.
  17. Homes two blocks away were reportedly leveled.
  18. So we finally got a dvr when we switched to u-verse. Pretty awesome stuff so far. The stuff that I record on a dvr, can it be saved onto a flash drive or something like that? The nice thing about a VCR was once you taped something, you always had it. I'm wondering if its possible to do something similar with the dvr. And so you know, I wasn't home when it was all installed so I never got to talk to the tech about things like this.
  19. The fire was bad enough, but the video made things about twenty times worse. It was heartbreaking to hear that daughter. Hope she's okay.
  20. Driving around tonight, some moron nearly turned right into me. This is a weekly happening in my city, and it's becoming almost a daily problem.
  21. You're making a huge assumption here. I doubt most of us can even tell who is a transgendered female or where we might even run into any. And I'd guess many here wouldn't feel comfortable dating one.
  22. i wonder if one can build up an immunity to it, like it's possible to do with iocaine powder.
  23. do the researchers say anything about the dangers of standing in someone else's urine?!?
  24. LOL. you'll fit right in with the rest of the great unwashed around here.
