  1. Bernier is a stud and should bring serious quality in any deal. Hopefully Lombardi hits a winner.
  2. Eh, it's the risk you take in making trades. If Kazmir pitches for the halos like he was capable of doing, we don't have this conversation.
  3. Blanton takes the hill Welcome to the hit parade Fifteen million flushed
  4. I don't know the numbers but there was pretty solid evidence he used poison gas on the Kurdish tribes in the north. He was a pretty brutal dictator on his own people, and his two sons were up to their eyeballs in it, too.
  5. I think if a church isn't politically active, they should be exempt from taxes.
  6. After the 2012 election and the tax increase prop, didn't he admit afterwards that the increase was going to be more than they let on and that they purposely withheld that info? Yeah, he doesn't belong anywhere near the White House, although he certainly has the ability to lie as well as the rest of them.
  7. What i learned from this thread is that HM is bringing roasted parakeet to fanfest.
  8. Word on the street says part two involves veggie burgers, a stolen camaro, and half a box of Cuban cigars.
  9. Kings close to dealing Bernier to Philly, Toronto, or the islanders, according TSN. Gonna miss Bernier, but understand completely his desire to start.
  10. I guess we'll just have to take your word for it.
  11. Zdeno Chara, thug. His crap at the end ofthe third was so unnecessary. Talking to my brother about him tonight and he said to find the video of Chara running Pacioretty of the Canadians into the glass by the benches. Pretty brutal stuff by this jerk.
  12. Lots of rationalizations for this incident. That's not usually a good sign. Hope she's okay.
  13. Those desks were amazing. We had them, too.
  14. This is what the halos are going to have to do this year if they want to get into the playoffs. I think they have it in them, too, as they've certainly played like a bunch of ten year olds this season.
  15. I hope lefty hangs on to win. Sunday is Father's Day and his bday. That'd be kinda cool for him.
  16. Happ hasn't pitched since getting drilled last year. If I were him, not sure how much I'd want o go back out there knowing it could happen again, and that's possibly the biggest obstacle for him to overcome.
  17. Clutch birdie putt by Phil on 18 to get back into a tie. Looks like the cut line will be +7. Still about 68 golfers who need to finish this round early tomorrow morning.
  18. Look what my wife found: "Devil Ball put a call into the USGA on Monday morning asking if the traditional wicker baskets would be in play and it was confirmed they would. Why wicker baskets instead of traditional flags? Let the Merion Golf Club website explain it ... "The wicker baskets' origin is a mystery to this day. There was a great deal written in 1912, and for three years thereafter, locally and nationally about this new course in Philadelphia. However, there was no mention of the soon-to-be famous wicker baskets. It could be assumed they were not there. By the summer of 1915, William Flynn, Merion's Superintendent, received patent approval for his wicker basket design. Merion had baskets that fall and from then-to-today. It could be assumed, due to lack of written proof, that Flynn convinced Wilson to use the baskets, and Merion received its "basket notoriety" the next year during the 1916 U.S. Amateur." So, yeah, no concrete proof of why they are used, but it's a cool tradition that I'm glad the USGA is sticking with for the '13 U.S. Open." Apparently the winner receives one of the wicker baskets as a memento.
  19. Phil is +3 today and now sitting with a large group at E.
