    Saw despicable me 2 and went out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant here in palm dessert. Too bloody hotto sit outside so we came in and watched the Angels game. Also watched parts of that crappy Macy's Fourth of July special that featured music from Usher and other hip hoppers instead of patriotic music.

    No doubt, but a lawsuit like this wouldn't merely be frivolous. It would be directed at changing church standards to accept social policies that go against doctrine and biblical precepts. It's a slippery slope issue and has the potential to cause a lot of problems, especially if there is any kind of legal mandate requiring churches to perform gay marriages against their beliefs. From there it can easily get into the separation of church and state argument.

    Having been in denominational work all my adult life and knowing that pastors in my church are paid roughly the same as me but with far greater perks and write-offs, I'd be shocked to find any of them making even 100k per year unless they were published authors with books available or had some kind of tv or radio ministry. Honestly, I'd be pretty satisfied to make what a BART train operator makes.

    We've been watching reruns if Castle on TNT lately and have really gotten into it. It's a very entertaining show, and detective Beckett makes for some nice eye candy. Same with reruns of Bones and Emily Deschanel.

    Daniel Briere bought out by the Flyers and is now headed to Montreal on a two year deal. Should be a lot of movement today. Free agency begins in about half an hour. Kings released Ellerby, then turned around and re-signed him.
