I really hate what she's doing in this transition phase. It's terribly offensive to fans and families alike. What's her message? "Hey girls, here's where you go after being a nice kid. Whore it up, that's the next step!" I get that she wants everyone to know she's not a little girl, and it's okay to experiment a bit. But this? This is the kind of behavior that ruined Brittney and Lohan, and it's terribly confusing to kids who look up to them. Her handlers are way, way out of line or pushing, leading or supporting her in going this direction. Overlooked by a lot of people in this is Robin Thicke. What a tasteless song, and what a douchey thing for him (34 and married) to do to pretend he was ramming her (20 and confused) from behind. Completely disrespectful and inappropriate way to perform in front of kids.

This is like his second or third one this season.

wins tell me that a pitcher kept the other team from scoring more runs than his team, and he contributed to that. would i use wins only by themselves? absolutely not. but they do have a place in the overall view of things. if you don't want to use them, be my guest. but that shouldn't invalidate them for everyone else.

from the devil's advocate pov . . . bring figgy back for the rest of the year. he was a fan favorite for a long time and it gives us a chance to say so long. realistically, a bale of hay at third would be about as effective as anyone else, and since there's nothing to lose, why not bring back the little guy for one last hurrah.

i agree with you. wins are one component - put on them a fair amount of value in evaluating a pitcher. use whatever metrics you want, but pitcher wins tell us that a pitcher allowed fewer runs than his team scored. it's not a coincidence that the best pitchers in the history of this game also tend to have the most wins.
