    i disagree that they "gave it away'. the Kings tied it up on a fluke goal, not because someone missed an assignment or was sloppy. the gwg went in off the post and then the back of hiller. again, not the result of someone who wasn't doing their job.

    the ducks definitely were dictating play, but the kings held tough. the goalposts were our friends tonight, but quick was solid as well. that they did this with only 5 defensemen was equally impressive.

    scored twice in OT. made up for that botched call when malkin hit lundqvist's glove. NHL seriously needs to revamp what plays are reviewable.

    i appreciate the ducks fine skating skills.

    this may be simplistic, but if trout steals more bases, that leaves first open, and pujols is going to get a lot more walks. without a big bat behind pujols, the chances for him and trout to just waste away out there on the bases is going to be quite a bit higher. maybe when hamilton returns (and hopefully picks up right where he left off with the bat), trout may be able to steal a few more bags because there's some protection behind pujols.

    okay, i'll say it . . . miller is good, but his resume is on the thin side. does he put a good team over the top? maybe. the blues have to be wondering about this quite a bit right now, and so should any prospective buyers of his services.

    don't hate the ducks at all. don't follow them very closely but know who everyone is. if they advance, i don't know if i would root for them. should be a good series. if the Kings keep playing like they have the last four games, i like their chances very much.
