i was in a coin shop in alhambra earlier this week. got to talking about pawn stars somehow. the guy told me that the Harrisons own about ten different pawn stores in vegas now, and that they film in a studio that was built to look exactly like their main pawn shop. on the show they have a warehouse, but I'm telling you there's just no room for a warehouse at the location they show on the tube. i've been to the main pawn shop and it's a dump in the back half. couldn't believe how much "pawn stars" crap they were selling - t-shirts, mugs, mouse pads, you name it - and most of the things in the show cases are way more expensive than i could afford.

and one less than the marlins, too.

i'd give them a call and see what they want. no harm in doing that.

how come they don't win in the post season? their playoff success in these last 14 seasons is less than impressive.

after the sheer joy of '02, i'd like a LOT more championships. one just isn't enough. not sure why any fans would feel differently about this issue.

you're okay with someone cheating? why, because "everyone else is doing i"? because chicks dig the long ball? he lied and lied and lied some more while he was cheating. don't care what he accomplished - he cheated the game (as did others) to try and gain an advantage. that's not okay with me.

Pawnography 7-10 new game show on the history channel featuring the guys from the gold & silver pawn shop. contestants try to win some of the items from the shop in a jeopardy type game show where they answer questions about politics, history, and pop culture. i like it a bit better than the regular show, which has become really uninteresting to watch lately.

yeah, that was kind of odd. "we have a threat, but we don't know who, what, where, or when, so be careful and just go about your business."

i'm not watching a 14 minute video.
