financially, the last six years have been fine for me. can't really complain about it, though i wish i had received the tax cut i was promised in '08.

you know, why not? if thrown correctly it's a very effective pitch. he sure isn't going to be much different with his old assortment of pitches and locations, so why not roll the dice and learn the knuckler? unless of course his fingers are now too fat to grip it.

face value on game tickets: $500 - 1500. last year for game 1 of the stanley cup finals i paid $325, and that was through ticketmaster. i'm sure game 5 tickets were more, but these super bowl prices are just insane. i have a friend who has attended every super bowl game played in california. he usually would but a ticket after kickoff from one of the guys walking around re-selling. i don't think he ever paid more than $30 to get in, and he always got in.

watched some of the replay coverage last night. his chipping looked worse than what i've seen at willowick with adam and nate. it was just incredibly ugly. he used to have such an amazing touch around the greens, but that part of his game has simply evaporated. i think it was harvey pennick who said something like 60% of your shots are from less than 100 yards. maybe tiger needs to read the little red book. his post-round interview was interesting last night. said he needs to comfortable with his swing and then he can start making and shaping shots and then start scoring. right now that seems like it's a long way off for someone who used to own this game and looked like no one would be able to hang with him.

we've been watching black-ish. funny show about african-americans trying to keep their cultural heritage alive in a very white world.
